Perfect Resort for the Family
Sep 22nd, 2020
This is one of my favorite Four Seasons hotels. My favorite is the Golden Triangle Tented Camp in Thailand. This one is great for families with young kids. They have the best lazy river pool and water slides for the kids. Their kids club is also cool with lots of activities. They have a pool side cinema and lots of cabanas. We were there when Covid hit and there was tons of room to social distance. We got a room on the fireworks side and it was cool to see them at night. I liked the wine dispenser in the room that had decent wine. The spa was ok but carried good facial products. My favorite restaurant was the Spanish tapas place on the roof. Also a great view to see the fireworks. In my opinion, the Four Seasons brand really knows how to cater to families. This resort lived up to that reputation and then some with surprises in the room for the kids. Easter happened while we were there and the Easter bunny came and left a gift at the door. Our kids loved the resort and the amenities made it so parents liked it too. I would take this hotel over the Great Wolf Lodge any day. Besides booking this hotel for your Disney holiday, I recommend getting a Disney VIP host. They pick you up from the hotel in a black SUV and take you through all the back entrances at the parks and you don’t have to wait in line for rides. So cool. You also get VIP seating for the fireworks which are the best in the world. Thanks Four Seasons for adding to that Disney magic. We will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best Hotel in Florida
Sep 11th, 2020
We have been staying at numerous high-end properties during the 15 years we have lived in Florida (we were transferred for work in our 30s and are not retirees). In Orlando, we generally stay at the top hotels on property at the theme parks where we have annual passes. During the current situation, we decided to try The Four Seasons although we were not going to be visiting WDW. This is a totally first-class operation. From the valet/bell staff onward, the staff was unfailingly polite, friendly, professional, and welcoming. It feels like FS is the magnet for all the best people in the Orlando area. Especially at these times, where we have encountered surprisingly poor service at familiar properties, the FS really shone! This even applies to the hotel operator--I called housekeeping because they had made up our sofa bed (beautifully, but it is just my wife and me); no one answered right away and she asked if she could help and took care of that and an unrelated issue that I only brought up because she asked. AWESOME! The basic room was beautiful--large, quiet, well-appointed. Excellent bathroom, balcony with quality furniture, etc. etc. The pool area is outstanding and we enjoyed it everyday. Great lazy river, slides, etc. The restaurants should not be missed! Absolutely excellent food and service! OK, it is not cheap, but not out of line for a decent standalone restaurant and the quality was higher than most very good restaurants. Excellent VALUE. We checked out 5 days ago and are already looking to book our next stay. It really is THAT good. I hate to admit it, but I almost didn't write a review because I don't want the word to get out! We booked the Four Seasons Orlando resort for our first ever Disney Vacation based on TripAdvisor reviews. The resort is amazing and absolutely exceeded our high expectations. We look forward to returning! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing celebration weekend
Sep 7th, 2020
The hotel was situated inside a gated community, which has its pros and cons. Starting with the positive, security was pretty much established. It had a clubhouse feel, which is consistent with the upscale brand expected from Four Seasons. That being said, we definitely felt the outsider vibe, like we were on a day pass at an exclusive clubhouse/spa. Nothing negative about that, but we felt we had to be on our very best behavior. Every single staff member, be it front desk, concierge, pool, valet, housekeeping, bus/club car drivers, were EXTRA helpful and cordial. The hotel was gorgeous, the restaurants were impressive, and the pools were amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable, everything we expected from a luxury hotel. On the other hand, there were 2 things that could have made our stay more comfortable: we did not know we could not bring drinks in the pool area, which would have saved us the embarrassment of getting called out in front of everyone. The staff were very respectful about this, so please do not hold this against them. We would have followed the rules had we been informed. Second, we were missing the wine dispenser in the room, which we were excited about. However, we understand why it was missing given the COVID-19 situation. 3 things to take note of: (1) download the app, it is a very convenient way of communicating with the hotel. (2)The bus that takes guests to the parks operate by the hour instead of 2-3x an hour with the Disney hotels. The bus stops are in the charter bus areas, quite far from the park entrance. The bus that will take the guests to Magic Kingdom will drop off at T&TC except on the early hours so check the schedule upon checking at the hotel. (3) No self-parking, just valet. Our family loved it. My husband said the hotel had the best kids club staff. No complaints. The kiddos preferred to spend time at the hotel than at the theme parks. The deluxe suite is a bit small and darker then we are typically used to but it was generally a wonderful stay. Drinks are nice and strong. I guess one thing the hotel could improve on is the food offerings. After four days of room service and pbj menu ( also same as poolside menu) we were getting tired of the same things. Would definitely come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
