Service was the best part...
May 29th, 2020
Scottsdale is beautiful and the Four Seasons is located in Northern Scottsdale right next to Pinnacle Peak. There are beautiful views of the mountain from the hotel and the grounds are beautiful. I would highly recommend renting a car so you can easily access the area. There are not a ton of things besides hiking trails that are walkable. The property is fairly spread out and has two sections the hotel and residence club however they share each other’s amenities and are right next to each other. They often have staff driving golf carts around that ofter to take you where you are going since it can be so hot out. It was impressive that every single person that drove by us asked if we needed anything or wanted a ride. We enjoyed the walk and from one side of the property to the other it might take 10-15 min. Everyone on the staff that we interacted with was very kind. Service was great even though they were a bit understaffed, they were apologetic and pleasant! The inside of the buildings are tastefully decorated and definitely have an Arizona feel (think a lot of browns and tans vs super modern). We stayed on the Residence Club side to get a bit more space since we would be here working for several nights. You can rent these similar to how you would a hotel room or transfer an ownership week here through an exchange provider. The rooms were comparable in size to any other timeshare/ residence property we have stayed in. They offer, studios, 1BR units and 2BR units which are essentially studios connected to a 1BR. The 1BR units have a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. They also come with 1.5 bathrooms. Only some rooms have elevator access so be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight or two of stairs. The rooms definitely show signs of wear. For example paint or stain missing from the bottom of a door or the blinds in the room that do not lock in one position. We did enjoy the large TV in the room. The rooms were very clean however there were definitely little bugs (to be expected in the desert). The bath products were L’Occitane and we’re great. When we got to the room the beds looked amazingly comfortable and super fluffy due to the comforters and pillows . When we went to sleep and we realized the comforter provided all of the fluff! It felt like we were sleeping on the floor the bed was so hard. To make it worse the pillows were VERY full (and they do not really compress when you lay on them), so it was like sleeping on a rock with your neck propped up on an angle. I do not often have trouble sleeping but our first night was rough. I asked the front desk for a pillow menu the next day which they did not offer but they were able to find me a foam pillow that was much more flat to sleep with. We ended up putting the comforter under us to provide some additional cushion and support. This to me was the biggest downside of the property. I know everyone has different bedding preferences, however I have never been to a hotel before with beds and pillows this firm. Since This type of mattress and pillow setup is the default I would expect a pillow menu or options to order feather beds etc for people who prefer medium or little support. If you do not enjoy sleeping on a super firm bed with super full pillows - definitely ask for extra comforters to sleep on top of - it made the stay much more comfortable. The food at the property was OK. We had dinner at Proof and ate lunch by the main hotel pool which shared a menu with Proof. The pretzel knots are the best part and I would recommend them. The dinner was average, nothing special and the prices were elevated (especially for the quality) as most resort dining options are. The burger I ordered from the pool was ok however the fries were cold. The service in both places was great though (eat on site for the service and convenience not the food). The majority of the meals we enjoyed off property and found it to be a way better value in terms of quality and price. There are a large number of restaurants from fine dining to casual grab and go within a 20-30 minute drive. We definitely had some AMAZING meals! In terms of amenities there were multiple pools both on the hotel and residence club side with plenty of chairs and cabanas to rent (although if you ask enough people and provide a good enough reason they seemed to be giving them away for free). One thing I would have loved for them to offer was bikes to ride around the property or mountain bikes to use around Scottsdale. They offered to help coordinate renting with REI or a local supplier but as a five star property it would have been nice to have them on site as an amenity. There is plenty of onsite parking including multiple large lots near the main hotel lobby and parking around the Residence Club. Some of the parking lots offer a semi covered spot meaning there is a pergola above, however there are no covered spots near the Residence Club. This is a big miss in my opinion considering the desert heat. It would be an easy fix and add a lot of value. The parking spots especially those by the Residence Club are also very narrow. Thankfully the hotel was not at maximum capacity so people were basically parking in every other spot. They offered two Tesla chargers and another versatile electric car charger near the main building which was amazing. The valet team did not seem to monitor these though as the same car was parked in one spot for a few days fully charged. All three were constantly being used which is great to see. Overall, the main thing that would make me consider staying here again would be the service. The proximity to great restaurant options and hiking trails is also a bonus. I would definitely consider all of your options when looking in the Scottsdale area as we drove past some other pretty fabulous properties as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Another Fantastic Vacation at the Four Seasons Scottsdale!

Every time I go to a Four Seasons, at this one is no exception, they always provide fantastic service! This last time is no exception. Whenever I travel, it is almost always a business-personal trip. We decided to come here during COVID-19, knowing full well that many amenities are not available, pool, spa, restaurants, gym, etc. The Resort supplied my room with yoga mat, small weights and medicine ball. I was able to work and do exercise in my room. We also walked around the resort appreciating their beautiful landscape. They provided complementary coffee in the morning, and provided food for pickups. Our room was completely sanitized. We felt safe. We were all very happy we came. We had a great time. As always, the service was exceptional! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A surreal trip during this unusual time

My husband and I decided to get out of California and go someplace where we could actually get outside together...play some tennis and golf. We choose the Four Seasons as we have always had great experiences on there many properties. This experience was a tad different than past visits. Needless to say they were operating with a skeleton crew so the stay was not typical...as anticipated. The few crew members that we interacted with were very polished...it was just hard to find them. It took 45 min for a bucket of ice to be delivered to our room (my husband went on an ice hunt after 30 min). Our second day there our room was not made up when we returned from golfing that afternoon (despite requesting it before we left in the morning). We came back to wet towels, dirty coffee cups and room service dishes left on the patio ( a score for the birds that were feasting on our leftovers!). We had planned on dinning out but ended up ordering room service instead. The food was delish! Also the gentleman at the front desk had a tasty little breakfast sandwich made for us as we were leaving for golf before the kitchen was quite open. Very nice! The only reason I give it a four out of five is just due to the lack of crew...especially housekeeping. That said we will definitely return....When things get back to whatever the "New Normal" is. Beautiful property, professional crew and great food! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
relaxed luxury in lush and lovely surroundings
May 18th, 2020
My husband and I were guests at this hotel for nearby work training in early May 2020 when pandemic distancing kept many visitors away. Our room was comfortable and generously appointed, and the hotel grounds were gorgeous. Nearby Pinnacle Peak was a good and easily accessible hiking option set within scenic mountains and natural landscape. Due to Covid19, we ordered room service by text, and had food either delivered to just outside our room or to the patio. The pool was still closed to guests, but it looked very inviting and we would love to return for a few nights to try it out and do a few more hikes. Overall, this is one of the best Four Seasons we have been lucky enough to visit, and we hope to be able to return soon. This hotel is good for those who enjoy the outdoors and who seek casual elegance and relaxation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Luxury Vacation in the Arizona

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay at the Four Seasons due to the proximity to the wedding. The hotel did not disappoint! The resort was quite large. But don't worry, you can request to be picked up by golf cart to anywhere you need to go. The Vista Casita room had an elegant Western vibe and overlooked the mountains. You definitely knew you were in Arizona. We were there during the end of summer so we spent most of our time laying out in the pool area ordering drinks. This resort is great if you're looking for a relaxing long weekend away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Being from Los Angeles, it was a treat to be able to see all the stars at night at our hotel. Definitely recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
