Excellent property with the most helpful and caring staff

I recently hosted a small event at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Although they are a large conference center, the staff gave me the care and attention of a large event. Juanita, Sales Director, was especially helpful and wonderful to work with. Juanita went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed on the day of the event. Kevin at the front desk was very kind and caring. I would highly recommend this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just checked in, upgraded to Harpeth River Suite on top floor. Fabulous, right? Until we started to unpack. Not one single drawer to put your panties in. Huge living room but it is crowded with tables & chairs, as tho we’re about to have a conference in here. While waiting for the room to be ready, we had lunch in the lobby restaurant. As we & others ate, a man went back & forth, right next to our tables, with a huge machine, polishing the floor. Who does that at lunchtime? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor check in experience as a Marriot Platinum Elite member

As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I have stayed at Marriot Hotels all over the country> This particular hotel has a fundamental problem. They never pay any attention to my profile. in my past few trips here (last year I stayed here over 14 nights), I always have to have them change my room when I check in. Today, they told me they could not accommodate any of my requests without any attempt to find a different room. I didn't even get a smile, any sympathy or an apology. I can't imagine how they treat people who are not elite members. I do not have this problem at other Marriot hotels - Just the Marriot Cool Springs TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Expected a better experience here. The mattress in the room was way too soft... assuming it was "older", as when I mentioned it to the manager when I left, I was told many rooms are due for remodeling over the next year or two. Year or two???? Old mattresses should be retired immediately. If you can't get a good night's sleep in a hotel, what's the point? Speaking of that... TV and/or conversations could easily be heard from neighboring room. That might be ok in a Motel 6, but shouldn't be the case in an Marriott. Soap was missing upon check-in, as well. Again, little things like this shouldn't happen. Probably won't stay here again, as there are too many other good choices available in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I recently spent three days there at a conference and I have to say everything was excellent. Even the restaurant serving lunch buffet style was excellent and the prices were great for a hotel. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very large compared to most hotels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
