Massage

Nov 5th, 2019

The best part of the trip was the massage bookings you can make. The spa was nice. We attended a concert at their partner facility so the shuttle was great to get us there and back. The suites were beautiful and kept clean. The Linens and the robes were fabulous TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Magnificent resort that has been restored to its past splendor,

Oct 30th, 2019

My husband and I visited this resort back in the late 70’s. At that time one could only imagine how it must have looked back in it’s prime. We heard this resort and West Baden Springs next door had been restored, and made this a stop on a visit back home. Prior to going here checkout the activities to plan your stay. Both resorts offer tours that are worth taking. The history and the restoration are both intriguing. Google the Angel Room at West Baden. It is not open to the public but the story behind the room and its location make it special. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Glad I didnt pay to stay here

Oct 28th, 2019

Im glad I got to stay here for free thanks to a conference I was attending. This place is not for the average Joe. It seems to cater to the rich. Lots of fancy and lots of money grabbing shops, etc. Don't think of sitting in the lounge and relaxing. The snootys there will stair at you like you don't belong unless your in a suite. Our room had paper think walls. We could hear people all night. We got very little rest. I would have been furious if I paid for this place. It is clean and it is nice if you got money but it is not for the average Joe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful, Old Hotel

Oct 28th, 2019

I love staying at old, refurbished hotels. They tell a story of a bygone era. French Lick Springs Hotel certainly does this, and they do it well. Walk into the lobby. You will find painted mural ceilings, details on the walls not seen in today's buildings and vintage era furnishings. Ahhh, I'm home. Then, get to know some of the employees. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, I met was there for one purpose, to make my stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. From the front desk to the valet people to housekeeping, all were way past professional. They all genuinely seemed to be passionate about their jobs. The rooms are, of course, old. The room I had was a little worn. It could use new carpet. Be aware, since it this is an old hotel, the bathroom is not set up for convenience of setting out toiletries. Also, there is no microwave or little refrigerator in the room. The fridge would be a nice addition. Get past some of that, the rooms are nice. The beds were very comfortable. There are a ton of amenities at the hotel. Several restaurants and shops, a kids area and a casino. I loved the casino but it did not like me... The breakfast restaurant was pretty good. Buffet style for $19 ($23 for Sunday brunch). The food was good but did not change from day to day. There is an omelette station and plenty of options. I was disappointed in the Power Plant restaurant. The food was hit and miss. Also, some issues with the wait staff leaving our group for extended periods of time. There are a few other restaurants but we never tried them. The hotel has a great history involving spring water that is very interesting. Check it out. Walk the gardens. You will see where the water came from. There is also a trolley that will take you several places including the Pete Dye golf course, the casino (also reachable within the facility) and the West Baden Springs hotel. The trolley is free and I would recommend seeing all three sites. West Baden is a must. I gave French Lick Springs Hotel five stars in lieu of some of the draw backs. There are simply too many reasons to love this place. Take a step back in time. Spend a weekend here. You will not regret it for a moment. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Business meeting and....

Oct 25th, 2019

A classy hotel that wonderfully meets expectations of the resort it was in the 20s and 30s. Great experience. Wonderful room ... in fact... huge. I will be back with my family... just to relax and maybe come in the summer to get out on nearby Patoka Lake. The facilities for the meeting were great. Easy access. Great snacks and food. Service was excellent yet invisible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
