New Orleans Vacation

Feb 16th, 2020

Stayed at the FMI for our two week stay and were delighted with our stay. We had a room without windows, but never felt it was stuffy. It was a bit of a sensory deprivation experience as we could not rely on daylight to wake us. The staff was excellent and the room was always immaculate when we returned from our day out. Staff assisted us with arranging a riverboat cruise on short notice, greatly appreciated. The hotel is situated far enough from Bourbon Street to avoid the craziness, but close enough to enjoy the NOLA experience. Thanks to all. Will definitely stay again if in the city. Great location, friendly staff

Feb 16th, 2020

Could not ask for a better location, 10 minute walk to everything. Bed was comfy, staff were great and the place was generally pretty quiet (there was just one night where the Karens decided to come back drunk at 2 am...). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Magical Mardi Gras

Feb 13th, 2020

I always enjoy my trips to NOLA, and French Market Inn is part of the wonderful experience. From your greeting at the front doors by Lonnie & Leonard, to wonderful customer service staff like Kathy & Minnie you will be treated like family.I always stay in the balcony rooms and have enjoyed room 302 and 247, both are exceptional, well decorated, and comfortable beds, nice clean, rooms with beautiful balconies overlooking the steamboat Natchez and Jax Brewery, right on Decatur St & the Mississippi River. This trip was for the walking French Qrtr Parades weekend of 2920 Mardi Gras. As always had a blast, because this location is in the heart of it all!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Great Spot to stay in New Orleans

Feb 13th, 2020

We stayed here for three nights over a weekend in February. Our room was large and clean the beds were comfortable. There is a nice small pool in the courtyard where it is very quiet. Our room overlooked Decatur street and had a great view of the Mississippi. It was noisy over Saturday night. There was a parade at the corner and the Rock-n-Rolla marathon was early Sunday morning. Much of the noise came from the street cleaning overnight. Iy didn't bother me, but my husband had trouble sleeping. The wifi was great in the courtyard, but to very good in our room. Our room was probably as far away as you could get from the front desk. It did work ok when you sat near the door. The staff at the hotel are excellent. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent location

Feb 13th, 2020

My friend and I stayed here for a girls trip. We arrived very late due to a flight delay but Nancy and Max met us with warm smiles. All the staff at FMI were friendly and made for a pleasant stay. Our room was always tidied with fresh towels. We had a balcony room which was very big and had an excellent view. The hotel is close to Bourbon Street, there is coffee next door and a short walk to cafe dumonde. I will definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
