Not worth the price

Looks like they ran out of cash. Run down room with a fully stocked kitchen. Oh wait that was Homewood suites. Nothing in Kitchen at all. They should throw ice buckets away no ice available. For price paid should have been much better. I have stayed in historic hotels before and none were like this. It was not worth $200 a night. More like $65 a night. Only plus is location. Terrible customer service. Will charge you no matter when you cancel.

Contacted the hotel via email per their instructions on Sept 27 to cancel my reservation. I did not get a response. I called on the 29th since I had not heard. The girl working the phone said she'd return my call. She didn't. Instead I got an email of the cancellation and a charge on my credit card for the night that I had requested to cancel prior to their deadline. Extremely poor customer service. I will be disputing with my card company. Poor service. This seems to be a common theme on their reviews. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent place to stay and comfortable

My wife and I stayed one night. The young man at the reception made us feel welcome and tended to every need we had. The a/c was not working in our room and he immediately got us to another room. The bed was comfortable. Shower was strong. Our rooms had kitchenettes but there was nothing of use. That may be because of the virus. The hotel is across the street from The Mercantile. I did feel it was a bit expensive for what was offered and, to be honest, not sure if I'd stay again now that I know there are Air BnBs in the area. But we had a good experience, just expensive. We paid $272 for a room that occupied 3. Pull out bed didn’t work, so after an hour and a phone call to manager they moved us to another room. That pull out bed had no bedding. The quality of the mattress was beyond uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in your back. Door didn’t lock and later told there is a trick to locking it. That trick would have been nice to know. The first room we stayed in, it locked automatically so we assumed this one did too. Enough coffee and creamer provided for one person, so we had to go get our own. Gal at front desk was nice, but very young and she was left alone for a midnight shift!! Exactly how safe is that?! Save your money not at all worth it!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Convenient to Pioneer Woman's Mercantile, Terrible Mattress.

Wanted to stay at Pioneer Woman's Boarding House, which is always not available. Previous visits to Pawhuska, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bartlesville OK ( a wonderful hotel ) and wanted to experience the Frontier Hotel. There approximately 30 rooms which have been renovated. Fortunately, we were assigned to room 505, which is on the 'wedge' of the triangular shaped building. It was quiet and spacious. The room was nicely furnished, though nothing close in comparison to the PW Boarding House. It's almost like the developer or renovator ran out of money and did not provide the upscale finishes necessary. As mentioned by others the kitchenette was not equipped with anything. What is the point of an empty kitchenette ? The mattress was the absolute worst mattress and I've stayed at hundreds of hotel rooms in my life of 40 years of business travel. The hotel staff are nearly non existent, another indication that the hotel is not properly managed, DO NOT RECOOMEND FRONTIER HOTEL PAWHUSKA. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
