Pleasant spot by the harbour for a drink

Just called here for a couple of beers whilst walking around the town. Sat on the terrace outside the building and was quickly served. Service was friendly and it was fun watching the busy street. Did not stay at the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The BEST sunset.

The Garraway Hotel has come a long way since Hurricane Maria. The staff are very accommodating. The location is perfect for business meetings. We were literally able to walk to our meetings. After work we were happy to enjoy the fantastic sunsets. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Should Not Be Open Yet -Or Ever

We totally understand that this hotel is still pulling itself back together a year after Maria. They say on their website ‘limited services’ - which we get. So no elevator, no AC, no wifi except in the lobby. The problem is that if you’re going to sell rooms in a mashed up hotel at around $100 USD a night then amp up the things you CAN do. Elevator still broke? Ok - then help us get our bags upstairs. There was no offer - just a lousy attitude. Missing windows and ceilings? Ok maybe try to clean the room better - it was disgusting! No AC? Fine but when a guest asks for water because they’re sweltering in their steamy room and you give them attitude and gouge the price of some cold water - not ok! Water is NOT $5 a bottle. Breakfast included? Ok then maybe it should be a little more than toast and runny watermelon. Unreal experience. Stay somewhere where they actually want guests instead of viewing them as a hindrance to all the sitting around doing nothing we saw the staff doing. Oh - and having to sleep with the windows open while construction goes on at night (jack hammering etc) across the road was just the final straw. A heads up would have been great. Or maybe a complimentary bottle of water. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not really up to par
Aug 6th, 2018
Check in was a normal experience, with the night staff providing a level of service suitable to the type of hotel. Unfortunately the lift was inoperative, and no porter was available to assist us in taking our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The hallway in which my room was located was missing most of it's ceiling, and had no real lighting. The toilet in my room had apparently not been cleaned, or someone had decided to use it after the fact. The room had no ceiling lighting, only a couple of bedside lamps, which weren't very effective at lighting the room for my late night arrival. Unfortunately air-conditioning was unavailable, so a lethargic ceiling fan was the only cooling option. Opening the window was an unhelpful choice, as being right on the road frontage results in a lot of noise from revellers below. To be honest, I'd stay here again, but I'd want to see the price improved drastically for the product I received. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
