Bad hotel.

Stayed at this hotel based on a friend’s recommendation from her stay several years ago. What a mistake! It has an excellent location near SU, but beyond that I have nothing good to say. The check in process was horribly inefficient. I came at 3 o’clock, the designated check in timE, and was told I’d have a 15 minute wait because housekeeping was running behind. I came back two hours later and it wasn’t anywhere near ready, plus a long line of people waiting for a room. The same situation existed the next day when I walked in the lobby. Also, only one person working front desk!! The restaurant is a temporary facility and there is dust and dirt everywhere. Housekeeing is severely lacking, and the entire hotel just seems run down and dirty. The room was dark, dingy and decorated from decades ago. I tried to call front desk and housekeeping multiple times, and it just went straight to busy signal. This is closer to a 2star hotel, and even then I’ve stayed in far nicer 2stars for a fraction of the cost. It’s a shame they let such a nice hotel get run into the ground. The staff was friendly, but the hotel is not well run or maintained. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I won’t look forward to returning

Before I detail why I disliked my stay I will say that every single employee I came into contact with was professional and friendly. The night I arrived I walked in to the hotel lobby and there were two women from two different rooms requesting room changes because their rooms were very dirty. Not a good sign. I checked in and went to my room. There was a green substance (vomit?) on the base of the toilet and one of the pillows had makeup smeared all over it. At that point it was really late and I was exhausted so I slept on another pillow and talked to the front desk the next morning. I asked them to clean the bathroom thoroughly and change the bedding. That was at 7:30 am. I came back to my room at 4:30 pm and nothing had been touched. I requested again for the room to be cleaned and bedding to be changed. When I returned around 9 pm it had finally been done. It seems that they have a staffing shortage or something. I called room service one night and it took me 20 minutes to get someone on the phone. After my meal I put my plate outside the door and it was still there in morning, nearly 12 hours later. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Used to be nice

I used to love this hotel, but apparently it changed management because whoever took it over, has now cheapened it. The food in the restaurant used to be 5 stars and now I can't give it any. It used to be so luxurious and now seems more like a dormitory. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bad business practices

Recently I stayed in the hotel for three days. Noticed several bad practices. The management continuously misleads customers. I suspect this is going on in several other services. Friday: Before I checked in, informed the front desk that I need the Internet for my work. The front desk told me to access the Internet through hotel SSID. I went to the room and no Internet. Came back and asked. They told us the crew working and it will be ready in a few hours I have to go to nearby Starbucks and spend the whole day for the Internet. When I returned, the front desk told me that it will be ready by next day Saturday The same story, same words, no Internet. Front desk tells me that some rooms have it and some not and full service will be back in a few hours. I have to go to Starbuck and work for the whole day. Sunday No Internet. Again, I have to go to nearby Starbucks and work all day. Front desk tells me that some rooms have it and some not and full service will be back in a few hours. These days we run all the business transactions through the Internet. The hotel management does not care for their customers. Continuously misleading customers is outrageous and very bad business tactics. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just okay

Staying at the property for two days for an anniversary party. Accommodations are fine but nothing special. Restaurant is okay but service for breakfast was slow. WiFi is not working and although staff is apologetic, they have no idea when it will be up and running. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
