Came to Glen Cove to visit family and this is the only lodging in town. I read all the reviews and most are spot on. So basically I volunteered for this experience..lol From the front the Mansion looks lovely but guest rooms are in the back..a built on “Sheraton” type structure with no parking access & you can’t see when entering. Room: When booking I specifically asked to be in the main building and no one in registration stated “that’s not possible” ..this place is huge!! And my room ended up being Allllllll the way in the back of the “Sheraton” .. 340. A long walk carrying luggage but I was hopeful! I booked the “ best” room they had figuring I’d avoid the prior reviews .. we’ll the Lux king May have been renovated 10 hrs ago but it’s more like a generic face lift. After sharing my Disappointment they showed me a new room ..less expensive, “standard king” but I could justify the dated look for the $$. The bed Is comfortable but the room constantly smells like moldy basement... which effects my allergy. No working phone, no water for coffee pot, no working alarm clock! No amenities available in the hotel .. which they say is due to Covid but one could go to another establishment and the restaurants /service is up and running! ( there is something deeper here! Perhaps $$ related to building Reno. Limited staff? They said new management and new investor took over recently. Honestly, this property is a huge undertaking and Gradual Reno won’t cut it! It’s will never really look good as a whole.. Everything is beat up!! Tennis courts w/busted fences.. no landscaping so much flooring and little nooks! The office staff (Sitting At a table in some wine room ) was very helpful. It must be tough having to present a property full of cosmetic and structural issues as luxury. He was very accommodating (within his reach). This young man is a happy worker but his management is doing him a disservice by having him bare the brunt of confused customers. I watched him carry a huge coffee dispenser..really? That’s his job??? Final analysis : if you must volunteer for a stay .. just come in eyes open. It’s not terrible just sad .. I feel a-little depressed being here lol .. P.S. Investors.. if you have the cash! This could really be winner.. Bull Doze the back structure and start over! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed at the hotel this weekend for one night for our wedding anniversary and it was a disorganized mess before we even checked in. I got my first phone call from the hotel a few days in advance, at which time the staff introduced himself from the wrong hotel and corrected himself. He said we needed reservations to go to the outdoor pool and that he would send us the phone number which he did. I got another call the next day from the spa. I had booked the spa services a couple of weeks in advance and they had them down wrong. Then someone called about our “poolside reservation” which I figured meant reservation to use the pool but it was for dining. When I called back, she said dining was completely booked, though we had booked a reservation a month in advance. Of course when we arrived at the spa they still had the services down wrong and said my husbands service was not available, so we left and they called and said they could do it after all. I will say that the spa services were great, just a lot of confusion when we got there. We had dinner by the pool, which was unexpectedly a pool party with live entertainment. We didn’t mind it and the food was very good. We checked out the next morning and later in the day get a text saying we didn’t pay our dinner tab, which was incorrect and they said they had looked at the wrong reservation. Im not sure what is going on over there but it was more stressful and irritating than worth it and I would never recommend the hotel to anyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not stay here if you care at all about people wearing masks or social distancing. There were signs everywhere saying that masks were required inside. However, there were people all over the place not wearing masks and no staff members enforcing this rule. I saw people walk right past the guy who was supposed to be taking people's temperatures, and he didn't even bother to stop them. I only came because the website made it seem like they were following proper protocols, only to find out they were not. I felt unsafe the entire stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Motel 6 at best!

The main building is a charming old mansion, that needs exterior work. They added generic motel 6 type buildings to the back of the main building. They are connected by hallways that are not air conditioned. The rooms are at best 1990 and not taken care of at all. The windows are foggy, the bathroom had moldy tiles and nasty. The room smelled as soon as the a/c turned off. The grounds are big, but the grass is burnt and not watered. There are no walking trails, scenery or plantings of any kind. The place is good for maybe a cheap conference, but I would never take my wife on a weekend getaway here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My experience with the Mansion at Glen Cove was second to none! With the uncertainties of the ongoing pandemic I had to be creative and come up with a “game plan” to celebrate my sons 16th birthday. It was reopening weekend and all I can say is WOW! Helen from the sales office ensured my accommodations suited all of my needs and took the time to check in with me through-out my stay, which was so appreciated! I checked in on Saturday and was greeted by Betty so warm, and accommodating and even under the mask I knew she was smiling, the rooms were fabulous- clean, sanitized and just perfect and not just the rooms the entire Mansion. Housekeeping was visual at all-times cleaning and sanitizing very area of The Mansion with a warm hello from each and every one of them. Great service didn’t end there, pool and restaurant staff on point Andrea, Joanne, Cheryl everyone I encountered was just so helpful and fabulous! There is a new chef at the Mansion and I must say I was impressed, food was delicious! I cannot thank The Mansion at Glen Cove enough, the memories of my sons special day will remain with us forever!
