Very Nice, but missing a few things

Mar 12th, 2020

I am a Marriott Lifetime Titanium member with 1800+ nights and found this hotel interesting. The location is perfect for any sporting event or trade show at the convention center. Some nice restaurants within walking distance, the free wine hour is a nice touch, the bar was enjoyable and thought the front desk staff was incredibly friendly especially Logan and Marshall. But wow the internet is HORRIBLE, so slow and would blank out constantly having to restart the computer, plus the internet service is good for only 1 day at a time. Another drawback of the Glenn is the exercise room. SO small with only 2 treadmills where the TV's on the machines did not work all 4 days there, 1 elliptical and 1 recumbent bicycle. That is it, plus a few free weights. There were occasions when people would come to work out , but #1) the 4 machines were all in use and #2) there was no room in the tight area to work out, stretch, do a plank, etc. For an "upscale hotel", the exercise room I hate to say was an embarrassment. Breakfast quality was outstanding , but WOW the service just brutally slow. I had to call to get my bill e mailed to me and once I got it, it was wrong. It was promptly corrected and sent back. This hotel has potential, but has a way to go to clean up the aforementioned TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Internet speed blows

Jan 29th, 2020

Hotel property is ok, but if you have any work to do, the internet speed is so painfully slow I would NEVER stay here again. I have work to do and waiting minutes for every page to load is unimaginable. I took laundry to the front desk at 7am this morning and no one was present. Went to the back room, no one. Waited 7 minutes and nobody showed up. finally left laundry on counter hoping it would find its way to the cleaners. I don't know who their target customer is, but it is NOT a business traveler and in the future will not be me! I'm here one more night and not happy as I write this. Room service is the one bright spot. food quality and service, but not enough to ever get me to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fun Date in Atlanta

Dec 4th, 2019

We stayed at The Glenn this weekend and attended a concert at The Tabernacle. This location is always fun. There is a rooftop bar with a great view of city where we met our friends. Our room had a city view which included Centennial park and the "ferris" wheel. It is a short walk to all venues in the Centennial Park area. The staff is always accommodating. Our room was clean with lots of towels. Staff shared that the hotel is due for renovation with the model room complete. We will continue to stay at The Glenn when we have a date night in Atlanta. Great stay

Nov 23rd, 2019

I really enjoyed my stay at the Glenn. My room was quiet and cosy. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I was in a group and we all really enjoyed the free wine between 5.30 and 6.30 pm... It was a standing date for us. Service in the restaurant (for breakfast) was too slow. We sometimes waited 30 minutes for our breakfast. Great location when attending exhibitions in the neighbouring Congress Centre... I could walk there. Also, there are some terrific restaurants in walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
