Saltgrass is terrific but Christopher Mitchell is bad for Vegas!

Nov 16th, 2020

Was on Fremont Street and wanted to stop by the Golden Nugget and play some slots and some high limit with a few of the guy. I ran into Christopher Mitchell again and he was vlogging his exploits with no mask on. Thought it was embarrassing that this individual is still able to film inside a private property and can possibly spread Covid-19 to others unknowingly. It’s frustrating seeing people who are totally selfish and centered. Other than that, the facility was great and I recommend Saltgrass for a fantastic steak. Pool was really nice. Thank you for Fred aka The Muscle for the recommendations. Peace and love everyone! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Golden Nugget

Nov 16th, 2020

The check in part was easy, but the lines were LONG due to Covid-19 and temperatures having to be taken, etc. I probably stood in line close to 45 minutes. There were vacant computers at the check in stations, so more staff would have been better able to accomodate the long line. With that being said, the room was very nice as always. We have stayed here probably 10 times in the last 25 years, and it is always our "go-to" hotel of choice. One of their awesome features is their fabulous buffet, which was regrettably absent this time. Other places on our trip this time DID have their buffets open, where you pointed and told the server what you wanted and they placed it on your plate. No contact and the process went very smoothly as people couldn't "dawdle" over the selections. Wish The Golden Nugget had had this buffet type offering available. The few times in Las Vegas that we haven't stayed at The Golden Nugget, we have always gone there for their buffet regardless. Close to covered walkway with shops and entertainment. We like this hotel because it's away from the Strip and quieter with less crowds. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It was OK

Nov 16th, 2020

Had a parlor suite, it was nothing special just extra room. Dark, not much light, clean, very comfy bed. 2 bathrooms a plus. COVID made it affordable, but I would never pay full price for that room, really not worth it. Nothing operating normal due to COVID. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just a great resort

Nov 16th, 2020

I came to the Golden Nugget with some friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. This place is way bigger than you think. The hotel is very clean. Whether you’re on an elevator, hallways, everywhere- it’s clean. It has everything you need from several restaurants, shops and a Spa. Staff was always friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the bed - time for a new mattress and pillows. And a coffee maker would have been nice too. But Starbucks is right on site. Masks are mandatory. Overall - I’d go back. They are rude!!!!! We will not be going back to this casino they are so rude the manager Steve actually told me to “SHUT UP” and then I asked what he said to me .....and he said it again while I was trying to tell him that the people he wouldn’t let go on the elevator actually paid for and had their own room!!!!! I have never in my life been told to shut up by my husband much less a manager from a casino still waiting to be contacted on this issue!!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
