Bijou but good!

Stayed at The Good Hotel as it was one of the closest to the ExCel Centre - plenty to choose from but this seemed good value, etc., according to reviews. It is very close the ExCel (4-5 minutes walk) - there are closer hotels but hey its 4-5 minutes versus 1-2 minutes! It was a good choice - the rooms are tiny but in reality you don't really spend much time in your room so it was fine. The bed is up against the window so you don't get much of a river view until you are in bed - but it's pretty at night (all lit up etc). The place has a great vibe about it - all modern open spaces - good areas to sit and chat at the bar area - and the staff are great! Breakfast was brilliant - great choice for everyone - the only downside was the exceptionally slow coffee machines - but gives you a great opportunity to chat to fellow guests while you are waiting. All in all great value! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Fantastic quirky hotel

Spent the weekend - the room was small but very comfortable, breakfast was absolutely amazing in the range of buffet items, all very tasty. The view over the river from the dining area is beautiful. The DLR stop and cable car to O2 are both very close. I'd stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
This hotel is better than 'Good'. It is exceptional!

A great location - close to the DLR, City Airport and Excel for transport and business connectivity. Also close to the cable cars, o2 arena and bars - with plenty of leisure activities. Most importantly the friendly, laid-back (but professional) service, clean and simple accommodation, and social conscience is exceptional. Would definitely stay again but will have to be quick before it sets sail in 2021. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Friendly staff, laid back vibe, cool calm end to end stay.

Front of house staff were friendly, accomodating and made everything so nice. Not to mention the fact hotel does good whilst we were snoozing. This just blows the hotel game out of the park in other cities. Felt like I wasn't in London with the wide open space you have on the doorstep. Took a quick trip on the cable car to the Millenium dome to pick up some running trainers to go for a riverside run before checkout. Did I mention this was a great experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best breakfast I ever had in a hotel!

Standard rooms are short of space so wouldn't select them if you stay longer than a couple of nights as there are no spaces for your luggages or clothes. Also, I found the fire alarm flashing red light just above the bed very annoying so tip.. come with a eye mask for a better night. Otherwise, the hotel is very good. Great service, fantastic breakfast buffet, good amenities in the room, comfy beds and pillows. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
