A must stay in Madrid
Feb 8th, 2020
The welcome was heart felt....the staff as they greet you place their hands over the hearts. The hotel is moody, stunning and visual. A style like no other hotel I have stayed in. Art works were blown up, predominantly a Velazquez painting of Queen Mariana of Austria on our floor. The hallways were dark then this amazing image at entrance to lifts or end of hallways. Stunning. Our suite was beautifully decorated in tones of gold. A lovely wet area with combined free standing bath and floor to ceiling glass into the suite. We stayed on 1st floor with large opening windows. The curtains were beautiful, a highlight for me. 2 restaurants which were amazing, but the best was the staff and their lovely attitudes. We had access to Red Level area with special treats like food and alcohol....upgrade to this level if you can. We are booking another trip to Madrid in January again just to stay here. Centrally located near the Opera and easy walking to all major sites. The Crystal Palace is around a 30 min walk through lovely streets. A must visit to the roof top terrace with 180 degree view of the city. This hotel is a on my top 10 list of best ever I have stayed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
best service ever!

the hotel, located conveniently near main streets and subway stations, although part of a chain, conveys the feeling of a boutique hotel. the building and decor are fabulous, comfortable and quite unique - while at the same time being very inviting (you almost do not want to leave the place to explore the city). the staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. needless to say - all of them spoke perfect English. this high level of service extends not only to the front desk and concierge staff, but also the waiters and maids, who are always happy to assist in any way possible. we also had breakfast at the hotel - and i cannot recommend it enough!! although there are a ton of cafes and restaurants a stone's throw away, you really should experience the breakfast, at least once. trust me. the only "bad" thing i have to say is that the rooftop pool and hot-tub were closed, as it was January, and for me - soaking in a hot-tub outdoors when it is cold, is the height of pampering. so my personal call-out to the hotel management - open the hot-tub year round!! am definitely planning on a return visit. and soon. :-) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing week-end in this fabulous palace, perfectly located in the very heart of Madrid. The rooftop offers a breathtaking view over the city!! Luxurious interiors, very refined designs, and outstanding service supplied by extremely skilled and smiling staff! The Red Level is really worth it, offering a variety of tasty food and drinks! I highly recommend the Palacio de Los Duques, and it is definitely the place to be in Madrid! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing hotel stay !

I cannot day enough about the quality of my stay. We were upgraded to a junior suite red level at checking and throughout our entire stay we were treated like family. The location is perfect and the staff are as well. In one situation Hector ran down the street to chase down a cab just so we wouldn’t have to wait on another one. The staff knew our name and the room was very comfortable as well. We had the mirror suite. They even did something special for my wife’s birthday. We spent a week here and didn’t want to leave. Thank you ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Top property in the historical centre of Madrid

We stayed over the week end in this really nice property just a few minutes away from Royal Palace and Gran Via. Historical building with pool on the roof and bar. Amazing rooms, we were staying in red level room: modern, ultra comfortable and well appointed. With red level you have access to private lounge with food and champagne, we highly recommend it is worth it. Great service, staff polite, making you at ease and providing helpful hints. Highly recommend this place. As LHW member you get welcoming macarons. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
