Too expensive

Dec 12th, 2019

Magnificent hotel, we appreciated the qualitative welcome, the check in was quick and of quality, exceptional breakfast, but we didn’t like our room, we came for work and the internet connection was slow, the decor was not to our taste but above all we found the price really exaggerated for a month of November, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A wonderful experience/Heaven on Earth

Dec 5th, 2019

I visited the hotel towards the end of October this year and I decided to write a review as the hotel/staff/ environment was truly amazing. The hotel is located in a remote area which means if you are after peace and relax you will enjoy your stay, just behind the hotel is the sea where you can enjoy long walk/jog along the sea or swim during the hot summer weather. During my stay, the sea was quite rough but still wonderful. The hotel is part of Four Seasons brand so you can feel a proper 5* standards, service was amazing, so was the food and drinks. Rooms are spacious with a walking wardrobe and large bathroom. I had a modest sea view (but I loved it)! Despite being on the business trip I managed to steal some time for myself and enjoy some time in the resort as well as in the nearby cities - Nice and Monaco. Due to the remote location of the hotel, you will need a car. If I will ever have a chance to return I will. Thank you for having me and wish your hotel and staff all the best! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A wonderful Thanksgiving getaway

Nov 29th, 2019

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Grand-Hotel du Cap Ferrat for a quick Thanksgiving getaway. It was our first time staying at a Four Seasons property, and our first time working with Both were exceptional. Richie at WhatAHotel worked with the property to get us an amazing room with a beautiful view of the sea, as well as a very special birthday treat for my girlfriend. We went to bed and woke up every day to the sounds of the Mediterranean. In addition to a lovely room, the property is gorgeous and tranquil. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and Frank at the Bar mixed up some wonderful cocktails for us on our last night. Also of note were Salvatore and Olga, two star concierges who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Lastly, I should flag that while we were disappointed that the Club Dauphin was closed for renovations, the hotel made the villa pool available. I am not a strong swimmer, and took lessons every morning with Yvan, who was great to work with. Overall it was a wonderful stay, and our only regret was having only stayed for three nights. Yes But No

Nov 23rd, 2019

Without doubt the most outstanding asset of this Grand Hotel is its staff, they are charming, efficient and attentive whilst being relaxed and amiable. Also the building itself and the grounds are certainly magnificent. So why only three stars? Firstly the bedroom - small by standards of a luxury hotel with only a Queen bed rather than the King which we had booked. It was, we were informed, a sea view room which it was if you went out through the window and up some steps, in fact from the room itself there was no view, except of the steps. The bathroom was spacious but unexplicably not the bath which was the narrowest bath we have ever come across, my wife just about fitted but i certainly wouldn't have! Thank goodness for the shower, although power shower it was not. There are two restaurants, one is the Michelin, Le Cap which did not appeal to us but we had read that the other, La Veranda, had 'an atmosphere and menu reminiscent of a chic French Riviera bistro', however it did not, either in style or cuisine. It is an hotel dining room with a grandiose menu. Yes, it is a fine hotel, but no, we were rather disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

12 months after my first visit, I returned with my extended family - a party of 10 people to celebrate our mother's 84th birthday and informed the hotel of the purpose of our trip. The hotel contacted me ahead of time and coordinated a dinner-party for our mother. The food and service was superb. The return trip confirmed my previous experience of overall excellence: Hotel was in pristine condition, understated luxury of the highest order. But unlike other hotels who take the luxury seriously if not pompously- the staff at Grand Hotel treated us like family returning home. Kindness, attention to detail, discretion. From housekeeping, concierge, restaurant, spa, pool, parking, bellhop, bar - staff consistently displayed professionalism, knowledge of work and duties, and kindness. This hotel is a refuge and we will return again. And again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
