This place has an interesting vibe to it. Lots of interesting art around and a sense of coolness without being in poor taste. This hotel is centrally located in downtown Orlando. It was perfect for an overnight before going to the Pro Bowl at Campion Stadium (about 25-30 minutes walk) or if you wanted to go to a game at the Amway stadium a few minutes walk away. Sunday morning jazz brunch was pretty nice. Executive lounge is closed on weekends and continental breakfast ends on sunday at 9;30; after that, you have to pay heavy to go to a full brunch if you want to eat in the hotel. About 10 minutes walk from the hotel is a pretty lake where you can go paddle boating and there is a Sunday farmer's market. Our room was decent and the fitness center and pool were average but the pool was heated and there was also an outdoor jacuzzi. The hotel was hosting the LA Clippers basketball team so it can't be bad if they chose it. My main complaint was that although I had checked in with the Bonvoy app and sent the hotel a text through the app that i would be checking in late night, they gave away my suite and stuck me with a regular room. They offered me $100 or 10,000 points but I would have none of it because i paid quite more than $100 extra for the suite. They gave me $250 off the bill so I'm OK with it. But I called Bonvoy and told them that the app is not working, because this is 2nd time I checked in online in a short period of time only to be told at the front desk that there was no record of my check-in or of my text to the hotel using the app. You cannot rely on the app as a check-in device or as a messaging service to the hotel. Bell staff and front desk staff were very nice and sympathetic; the hotel was under stress with a ton of guests and 3 major events going on in town that day. When I arrived Saturday midnight, the lobby was quite a scene, but the room at least was quiet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We love this hotel. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, always clean. Great location. We typically come in January, MIL lives very close, we stay a couple of days before heading to a conference. This visit the Celtics, MLB team, is staying here. That’s cool. The Pro Bowl teams have been here in the past too. Great bar. Just love everything about this place. We’ll be back next year. Just stayed one evening/day at Grand Bohemian in Orlando. It was my 53rd birthday and just wanted to stay close to home (I live near Orlando), but have a mini-get-away. I have been to the GB for their restaurant several times and have always found it wonderful (especially their brunch...one of the best in Orlando, IMO). I had a corner room, overlooking the rooftop pool. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. TV, desk, mini-bar, safe, robes, towel, toiletry amenities very nice. Decor a mix of very nice but with some "dated" artwork on the walls. I found the old florescent bulbs they use in the guest room fixtures a bit dark and off-putting, but no really complaint. I truly appreciated the very genuine service that EVERY staff person showed. From "hello"s upon entering, to passing someone in the hallways, everyone had a smile and a welcome. This doesn't always happen at hotels and I truly appreciated it. The hotel has an attached Starbucks and a lovely cocktail lounge which had very masterful live jazz the evening I stayed. There is plenty of restaurants and parks nearby that are a very easy walk. This would be a perfect stay for someone seeing a performance at our performing arts center, as it is directly across the street. I'd like to say thank you to the staff at the Orlando GB, you made my quick one-night stay very pleasant and comfortable. I would recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Service is not so GRAND

I am a Marriott Titanium for life and an Ambassador. I stayed at Grand Bohemian for the weekend (Jan 3 - 5, 2020). The concierge lounge is closed on the weekend which is understandable but every other Marriott, if the concierge lounge is closed, will give breakfast coupons (continental) at the restaurant. This hotel wanted points for me to have breakfast coupons, I agreed to give up points. Sunday morning at 9 am they stop serving breakfast and I had already used points. When I complained on the app got back a very "don't give a damn" response. Room was not clean until 4:30 pm on day 2 so I had to call and ask for towels for the next day, Over the weekend they do not refill water bottle cooler in the lounge but they do give you access to it! It would take a hotel employee 2 trips a day max 30 minutes each time to keep water stocked up. Hotel service doe not live up for it to be a Marriott Autograph collection hotel and service is definitely not grand at the Grand Bohemian TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor Costumer Service

I have stayed 2 other times at this hotel with no problems. Our stay in December was not good. At check in we were told we had received a free upgrade but would have to wait about 15 minutes. We waited and we got our room key we went up excited to see our room. We put our key in and opened the door, only to find another couple in our room! They were upset and we were surprised. We all went down to straighten it out. We were given another room and it was fine but it was not an upgrade. Another couple came by our room and convinced me to call down and complain. They took $50 off our bill. We were there for a company Christmas party and we found out the company was paying for our overnight parking. Our bill the next morning charged us for the parking and when I called down I was told they would check and get right back with me. They did not. I called back an hour later and they said yes it would be taken off. I have yet to receive a copy of the bill with the parking removed. When Marriott sent me a survey about our stay I was honest but not mean. I received an email saying they would like to call me. I agreed and I even called but the person was not available. We exchanged at least 4 emails. All of them had an excuse as to why they had not called me. Then I received an email saying that person was taking time off and I was handed off to someone else whom I have yet to hear from. I used the Bonvoy app to contact costumer service. They were quick to respond and ask to have 3 - 5 business days to look into it. I was ok with that. I just received an email from Costomer Service saying the name of the person I was last handed off too, and I never received any type of communication from, had told them “the hotel had followed up” and case closed. I’m now furious! I was not going to write a bad review but their customer service stinks!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
