Review of Hotel and Spa

May 26th, 2019

Spa: The spa was dated and dirty. The restrooms were old, water and toilet paper on the floors, and just filthy. The lounge area has patio furniture, so not very relaxing. The water tasted awful and they didn’t offer any tea or other snacks other than apples. They also used plastic cups, which is not par with the prices. The services and customer service were great, however, not too much to rave about. The steam room was probably the worst I’ve ever seen, the lighting was bad, the tiles were old, water was dripping from the ceiling, and the steam machine was a cranking loud metal piece with some type of sponge above it, and sounded like it was going to explode. Not relaxing at all. There was a group of us who spent a great amount at this spa and it wasn’t worth it, compared to other luxury spas that I’ve been to. Hotel: From booking to staying 2 nights, the customer service was exceptional. Everyone here was super friendly and took the time to personalize our experience for a girls weekend. Thank you to Tracy and Jan for making our weekend special. We are beyond grateful for your kindness. The hotel itself is beautiful, however, some corridors are still old and dark, and need to be updated. The rooms are decent, nothing spectacular, however clean and comfortable. The walls and doors don’t block out noise so there was a lot of noise from the hallways and the other rooms. There is an in room fridge, but would’ve been nice to have a microwave accessible to guests somewhere in the hotel. Ristorante Brissago was wonderful with excellent service. The ambiance is quaint with modern and beautiful decor. The contemporary menu was amazing and tasty. We had the calamari, truffle sacchetti to start and both were delicious. The branzino was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The salmone was a bit dry but flavorful. The flourless chocolate torta was rich and tasty, but I’m also not a big chocolate fan. Dawn was an excellent and very knowledgeable server with a friendly demeanor and always smiling. The manager greeted all restaurant patrons, took the time to have quick conversations, and was super friendly. The grand lobby was gorgeous and had a great live jazz band every night. Looking forward to staying here again in the future and hopefully the spa and hotel will be fully renovated. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mothers Day weekend

May 18th, 2019

The resort was a vary clean, staff was vary helpful at all times. The restaurants served vary good food. Our favorite was the Chop House. The Mothers day brunch was exceptional in every way. The presentation of a small flower to all the mothers was vary nice. This was our first weekend excursion to the resort and we totally enjoyed ourselves. There were three weddings at the resort that weekend and we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere. We will definitely return for another enjoyable weekend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wow. Just wow.

May 8th, 2019

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Geneva for 4 days for our 8th wedding anniversary. We could not believe how beautiful and feature-packed this resort is. We had viewed pictures and done our research prior, but nothing could prepare us for how incredible it would be in person. If you can think of it, they probably have it. Tons of restaurants from a lobby lounge, to a high class steakhouse. Golf course. Water park. Spa. Ski lodge. Horse Stables. Walking trail. Multiple swimming pools. Wedding venues. Several lodging choices. The staff were truly incredible. Everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant staff, to even the trolley driver. We had a blast staying here! I can't recommend this place enough. There truly isn't a bad time of year to visit this incredible resort! We are already planning our trip come back during the fall or winter! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff were the high point of the buffet

May 7th, 2019

The brunch is large and varied. All the food looks delicious! All you can eat crab legs is a rare treat and was especially appreciated. The corn beef hash was good but the meat had a bit too much gristle. The Dutch baby pancakes were my favorite. The Italian casserole was tasty but the omelet was very bland. My preferred meat was the bacon! The champagne and orange juice never stopped flowing and the bread pudding was my top of the list dessert! However the attentiveness of the staff was the high point. They returned repeatedly to cover any needs and were super accommodating in providing anything that was not on the buffet. Side dishes designed for young children for one thing and drawn butter for another. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely fabulous for a couple retreat!

May 7th, 2019

From the moment that we arrived the service was fantastic! Our room was superb with a great view over the golf course. We chose to stay on a whim whilst on our travels from Scotland and were delighted with the personalised service. The food was fantastic! We would not hesitate to recommend or stay again!
