Overview

Sitting pretty on the beryl-tinted waters of Acapulco Bay, the Grand Hotel Acapulco & Convention Center offers panoramic views, expansive pools and direct access to powdery sands. Accommodations feature cable TVs and private balconies with garden or pool views, and in the family suites, iPod docking stations and a master bedroom with its own separate balcony. Located in the city's Golden Zone, the Grand Hotel rests close to some of the city's most popular sandy strips, like Playa Condesa and Playa Icacos. When you're not lounging by the shore, recent guests recommend an afternoon at the spacious pool area. Surrounded by thatched-roof huts and rows of lounge chairs, the two pools receive two thumbs-up from guests. However, reviews are more mixed for the hotel's restaurants. While some guests say the seafood dishes at El Pescador (or, The Fisherman) are delicious, others say the fares at all of the eateries are slightly overpriced.
