Glad to be traveling again; Grand Hyatt did its part in making our trip a success
Sep 2nd, 2020
Like many travelers we have stayed home. We recently began traveling again. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt during part of this trip. The Grand Hyatt did not disappoint. Every aspect of our visit was great. While there were obvious changes due to Covid 19, we felt safe and welcomed.. The staff and most guests embraced the new safety measures. Another plus...traffic in Buckhead was unusually light, making getting around to dine and shop easy and quick. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
the entrance leads to a beautiful garden and a bar
Aug 21st, 2020
As you walking in, the entrance leads to a beautiful garden and a bar. The lobby is beautiful. The room was very big and the bathroom was also a very nice size. We loved the toiletries 😍. The extra money for the upper floor is not worth it. The view is nice but I rather expend the money in something else. The Pool is really nice, it was open late so we got to enjoy it. There is also a really nice zen garden to relax in. The room was spotless clean and the hotel looked immaculate. Definitely recommend this hotel ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lovely Stay and Service
Aug 10th, 2020
I am actually shocked to see a bad review from someone that stayed the same week as I did--I had such an amazing experience. My only regret is not getting all the names of everyone who helped me. From the night I arrived after a long drive from New York, Work (the bartender) worked quickly to ensure I could place a dinner order before the restaurant closed. There was hand santizer everywhere and the room was fresh and appealing (I had a corner king on the 21st floor, well worth it). The views from the room were incredible and the bed was super comfy. The Balmain products smelled a bit too good. I say that because now Jergens won't cut it and I'll have to splurge for some of that lotion! Precious, the concierge, truly knows Southern hospitality. I come from a city where nice can sometimes be rare, so it was refreshing to have that amount of kindness. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who was seating and taking orders at Cassis on Thursday morning, but he was such a delight. My breakfast of eggs over medium, potatoes, country ham, and whole wheat toast was so delicious. The view of the waterfall also made for quite a treat. The Japanese zen garden provided such peace and was very well kept. I didn't take a dip in the pool, but it looked very clean and there were plenty of fresh towels. All in all, I am glad that I stayed at the Grand Hyatt and I truly cannot wait to be a guest again. 5 stars! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful property wonderful staff
Aug 10th, 2020
My stay was August 8th and i went back and forth on whether i wanted to stay here, because of some of the recent bad reviews. Let me say this, none of those bad reviews happened during my stay! The property was clean! beautiful! and spacious! Its Located across the street from Intercontinental and Embassy suites, I did valet for $42/night, self parking isnt that far of a walk and its $32/night .To my knowledge there isnt any free street parking near by(i looked lol). There is also hand sanitizer in all the high traffic areas! They ask that u do wear a mask in the public areas. I love that they have kept their pool open even when most hotels have closed theres! I got up to swim early (pool hrs are 6am-11pm)as to not have to be at the pool at high traffic times. The rooms are spacious and clean! The tv remote is wrapped in a sealed bag when u arrive! The shower water was hot! Loved it! My only bad thing is that walls are pretty thin that u hear everyone’s door slam or the ppl talking loud in the hallway. Not a problem for me but maybe for others! All types of people stay here so yes sometimes there was a lingering weed smell, but that by no means brought down the value of this beautiful hotel! Will def be staying again and again! A bit run down, low on service
Aug 5th, 2020
The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. Nothing in walking distance and unpleasant to take a walk anyway. Rooms are ok but a bit run down. Carpets a bit gross (you dont want to walk barefeet), shower curtains (dont remember the last time I have had one of these). The only thing that is new is the oversized TV however with very limited access (no cable, no Netflix or other perks). What really upset us was the lack of service, even in COVID times. When we arrived we had to carry our own luggage. The luggage cart (whose tires were flat) stood in our hallway on the 21st floor for two days. Same with a half-eaten meal that we ended up taking down to the lobby ourselves because it was disgusting. No maid service unless you specifically requested it in the morning (however no one told us, we had to find out). Coffee and water were only restocked upon specific request. Generally, the staff was nice but almost non-existent - we saw the same 4-5 people all week long so it seems they are understaffed. Generally, this place was a disappointment. If we ever come back to Atlanta, this is not where we will stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
