The place's location is actually good, walking distance from cosy restaurant in the Marina District of San Francisco. The room have been clean and met expectations, same for sanitary facilities. However noise levels reaching the inside from people passing by outside the room or early morning traffic give you the feeling there is no glas in the window. Unexpectedly worst part had been the behaviour of the owner/ manager at the day of departure. At the time indicated breakfast had not been ready and reception not occupied (8 a.m.). And after ringing the bell a fourth time an overslept and scruffy man appeared in reception cursing at us (the customer) and insulting us on a permanent basis at the same time maltreating electronic equipment behind the desk. Scary an unreal, we were glad to get out and could leave the place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
awful customer service, AC doesn’t work so don’t go during a warm month

Stayed at Greenwich Inn June 6-10th and it was unseasonably warm. AC wasn’t working and I spoke to front desk staff at 8 am to ask them to check it out. We came back to our room around 8pm and the room was 85 degrees. No one had come by to check it out. After having to go down to the front desk 2 more times to ask for help, 40 mins later a guy came up and determined it was broken. I even cleaned out the vents in the AC because they were so clogged and dirty to try to fix it myself. The man promised us a partial refund and moved us to their other (more dumpy) motel, where we stayed for our last night. So we packed our bags, drove there, and our room was 92 degrees inside. Sat outside for over an hour until the AC kicked in. It has been 10 days and I have called several times and am yet to receive a refund. They keep saying the “manager” will call but never does. I contacted better business bureau because these guys are impossible to deal with and lie to you. Don’t stay there if you expect ANY customer service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Good location, good motel

We booked this hotel as we needed car parking and it was fantastic. Car park was busy but luckily we got a park then didn’t move our car for the 3 days. Good location- very short taxi to the ferry that went to Alcatraz. Restaurants close by. Room was nice and clean. Would recommend if you intend on being out exploring most of the time TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

GREAT visit! Ricky was extremely welcoming ! The room/restroom was CLEAN and organized! Heating and cooling was optimum. Free parking and location was close to many walk distant activities. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a affordable San Francisco stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I recently went to San Francisco on business, and wanted to stay outside of the downtown area. I rented a room at another hotel near Lombard Street and couldn’t stay there because I felt unsafe and the area was a little creepy. I walked to the Greenwich Inn and was happy to find the most amazing manager, clean rooms, safe location and best customer service! Great room for the price and great location near lots of local restaurants and shops! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
