Do not rent 166 Robin Lane

Jul 10th, 2019

We are from Canada and we rented 166 Robin Lane from Ashley Armstrong from Nov. 1st to March 31 2019. She sent me a text telling me the condo was in very good condition when checked after we left. She said she would send me our damage deposit right away and a month later we still had not received it. I called her and she said it must have got lost she would send another one. Here we are and it is three months later and I have text and called her several times and now she is not even answering my texts or calls. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not rent 199 Kimberly Drive!!!!

Apr 30th, 2019

Gulf Highlands is a very nice resort. We do plan to return next year but a different unit for sure. Owners: Tom and Cindy were difficult to communicate with from Day 1. Maybe that was a warning. We thought we were dealing with trustworthy, professional owners. We have been home almost 5 weeks and still have not received our security deposit. They won't acknowledge any calls, texts or emails. NO communication whatsoever. We thought we would save the outragious booking fees by dealing directly with the owner but looks like we got a bad one. We're Canadian, what can we do? The Unit: Needs major update. Fridge handle has broken and been re-glued multiple times. I finally used Tuck tape. The shower showed signs of possible mold. The front door did not close or lock properly, blinds slats were broken or missing, shelving falling off the wall, patio door missing the screen, chair covers ripped, taps dripped, gas stove would not light properly. We paid a $200 cleaning fee as part of the rental agreement so we expected the previous owners paid the same and the place would be super clean. NOT!! The Resort: We felt safe and secure with the gated entry. Staff were very friendly as well as any residents that we met. Most indoor activities were limited because of hurricane Michael. Mini-putt and shuffleboard were fun. I would give the resort 4 stars, the unit 2 stars and the owners (Tom & Cindy C) 0 stars. I do have pictures to support my claims. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

199 Kimberly Drive

Apr 29th, 2019

Resort was very well maintained but the unit we rented was not. 199 Kimberly Drive. It was not very clean, and needed major updates. The fridge handle was broken, the plug was missing in the main bathroom sink, the shower door tracks were black with dirt or mold. Owners were very unresponsive, not returning phone calls, emails or texts. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

106 Robin Lane

Perfect town house house suited our large family. Close to the beach. Good communication from the owner and she even got us gas for the BBQ. Gated community. Pool right outside the house and never crowded. We rented a moped before we saw that we couldn’t bring on site. As soon as we did to show our kids the moped the neighbour hood police were practically chasing us off the property and were rude. You get a feel that there is a sense of us and them about the place. The owners and the renters. However the staff on the entrance gates were welcoming. We spent a week here. The house was two story and modern with a lovely fully loaded kitchen. No balcony but downstairs backyard had grill and was next to the lake. The frogs are noisy at night. Carpeted upstairs with soft beds and modern bathrooms one with a whirlpool bath in master bedroom. Tv a bit tricky to work. Owner had body boards and couple of games and buckets and spades for little ones. I would bring some extra toys if bringing small kids. A great holiday. I’m from the U.K. and we drove from Texas to Panama City with 5 kids. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible experience with Vacasa

Jun 1st, 2018

If I could give 0 stars I would. The Hurricane was poised to hit Panama City Beach and we were afraid for our lives so we did not choose to travel into the storm. Vacasa refused to cancel and refund our money. The Governor had declared a state of emergency! Winds were high, flooding anticipated and the Emergency services Director held a press conference in Panama City. Still Vacasa refused to refund our money so we could schedule at a later date. Unacceptable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
