This review is long overdue. I didn't write a review because I didn't think anyone reads these things, and because as a World of Hyatt member, and a Hyatt Credit Card holder I did get this room as a free night stay. But, I decided I really should write because it may help others decide where to stay. I was traveling from NH to FL, and chose this location as my first overnight stay. I was tired, and in need of a good night sleep. Instead what I got was a dilapidated room that looked as though it hadn't been properly cleaned. This was during the beginning days of COVID so I was concerned. Luckily I had just bought a full can of Lysol disinfectant. I tried not to touch much of anything, unless I sprayed it first. Even getting from the front desk to the room was harrowing as there were many unsavory characters roaming about between my assigned room and where I checked in. I was concerned for my safety as well as whether my car filled with personal items would survive the night without being broken in. Speaking of which the safety latch on my door was ripped off, completely missing. I tried for 15 minutes to contact the front desk. No one answered. I didn't want to walk across the courtyard again as it was passed midnight and there were strange people loitering outside. I actually barricading the front door by pushing a desk and chair in front of it to keep it from opening. Or at least slow down someone should they try to enter. That night I slept on top of the bed after I sprayed it with Lysol. It was not a relaxing night at all. I would have been better off sleeping in my car at a Walmart parking lot. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. I just wanted to get out of there unscathed. Easily one of the worst hotel experiences ever. And I've had to stay in some dives. I hope my stay was an anomaly, during a crazy unprecedented time. I got to stay for free because of my Hyatt status. But honestly it wasn't even worth free. I am considering cancelling my Hyatt Credit Card because of this experience. With the annual fee I pay, this just isn't worth it. Be forewarned, this is NOT your usual Hyatt hotel. It's more like a bad motor lodge Inn that you pay twenty dollars for near a truck stop. Awful, awful... I'm still trying to forget that experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
