I am wondering if the people who liked this place and I stayed at the same hotel? It is close to LAX, that's about the only benefit, in my opinion. Just to name the main issues - hair on the bathroom floor, no water pressure, hot water never actually comes on, shower head that hardly works, AC that barley cools, the room door design is such that the door can not be closed quietly by hand and can only close on its own, and when it does, it slams so hard, the sound reverbarates across the entire floor, walls that are thin even by hotel standards, coffee maker that is complete garbage, and the crown jewel - $44/night parking. Definitely not ever again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My first time staying at this hotel and I loved it. The room was super clean and modern. The bed was comfy O slept like a baby. I like that they even had those rose robots that bring you supplies like toothpaste or towels so you dont have to make contact with anyone which was cool. Its right by the airport which was convenient. I highly recommend and would stay here again :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great staff can make all the difference

I recently redeemed some HHonors points for a five night stay. I usually stay at the Hilton LAX but decided to try a Curio Collection hotel (having not so great and experience at the Sienna Curio). It’s an interesting co-branding with the H Hotel being paired with a Homewood Suites. The room was nice (an upgraded corner king), nice walk-in shower, modern design and bathroom, solid internet, and a slightly funky TV experience. The stand out was the front desk guy who seemed to be on every night, Jose (?). Always present, always aware, always helpful. He alone earned the four stars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Might be better without the bathroom spook

Jan 26th, 2021

The H Hotel is a recently renovated example amongst the phalanx of dreary airport lodgings along W Century Boulevard. The accommodations are a modest improvement upon nearby others that I’ve used in recent times. The services – albeit considerably truncated by Covid-restrictions were up to expectations and hospitable and the building is reasonably well insulated from the incessant airport clamour. The airport shuttle arrangements worked well for me. The good: my Deluxe King room (1105) was modern, clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Almost everything expected was there and what there was worked as expected. The king bed was comfortable, the linens crisp and clean and there were enough pillows to find a favourite. The bathroom was roomy, modern, well equipped and the plumbing worked well. The bath linens were plush and plentiful. The front desk and restaurant (well, take out) staff that I came in contact with were polite, helpful and accommodating. The not so good: it’s hard to complain about the services because the usual Covid constraints mean that there’s very little on offer. However, there is no microwave which would have been handy when the only dining arrangements are takeout. The bathroom mirror which is lit and, presumably, heated from behind issued all manner of weird and erratic clunking noises which were very difficult to source at first. Even with the lights off the spooky bathroom cacophony continued for some time. The upshot: I will return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Rooms are Great

Jan 26th, 2021

I just stayed here for a night during a stop over at LAX on my way to Mexico. I was in a 1 bedroom suite. The hotel is nice on arrival and very close to LAX. I chose to just walk to/from the airport (its that close). The front desk staff is friendly, the building actually houses two hotels which have separate check in desks, but the same staff I believe bounces between the two. Check in was fast and painless, just beware, the hotel holds an incidental charge thats even more then what the Ritz Carlton holds, $300 for one night of incidentals (the room was prepaid), but no big deal.... shut surprising. Upon getting off the elevator, there were a group of 4-5 housekeeping staff gathered in the hallway talking loudly, laughing and joking.... great to see them having fun at work, but totally ignored that I was there and trying to get around them and their carts and get to my room. They all looked at me, but didnt budge even when I said excuse me, so I walked around the other direction. The room was large and well furnished and very nice looking. It was large with a dining area, and mini bar area. Appeared to have a place for a fridge and/or microwave but there was nothing there. I found it strange that a room with a dining table, and mini area with sink etc would not have those items, but I was just here for one night anyways. The table was sticky and dirty and not cleaned and so was the coffee table and remote, so I spent 20 minutes using my Clorox wipes to clean everything, but other then that the room was great. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. Also the televisions are netflix/hulu capable which is great. The staff in the hallway were very loud. I was trying to work at the table and desk areas, and the cleaners were yelling, laughing and joking so loud that I ended up having to go into the bedroom and close the door and work on the bed. I would for sure give this hotel another chance in the future as I overall enjoyed my stay and the comfort of the room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
