Do not believe their website when they say that they are pet friendly and that pets are welcome. They only reserve 2 rooms in the entire resort for pets. It seems to me that if you are truly a pet friendly resort, you would have many rooms for pets and reserve a few for travelers that do not want pets in their rooms. I am attending and event, or I would not stay here and I will not stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
2 star resort with 5 star prices—Don’t Bother!!

Where do we begin? Having stayed at many “luxury hotels,” my expectations were the like. This was our last family vacay before school starts with our 7 and 3 yr old. The resort boasts about kid friendly amenities, yet half of them were closed or not available during our August stay. The ONLY positive thing I can say is the grounds are well kept and beautiful, and our valet, Jason, was great. The room was dirty and smelled musty; the sink stayed clogged, even after maintenance came to unclog it. Don’t be fooled, this is a 2 star resort with 5 star prices! They are completely deficient in the service department! The whole resort seems run by teenagers who either don’t know or don’t care about quality service. The resort has ALL the rules but only some are enforced, sometimes....Example, I was told I could not bring 2 bananas into the pool area (no outside food allowed) yet the couple sitting next to us at the kids pool—and immediately next to the ‘no smoking sign’—chain smoked while ordering drinks for hours! But those 2 bananas y’all, that outside food was the mission! Pool food is average and overpriced. We tried to do Mini Golf and there were only 6 balls available with 3 families of 4 or more waiting to play. Now think about this....we are at a GOLF RESORT and they were turning people away from the Mini GOLF due to not having more than 6 balls!! The teenage staff member didn’t care, it was one less thing for him to have to do. You can “try again later, but we close at 6 today.” Want to try bicycle rental? Tires are flat, wheels are bent, handlebars uncentered, so there aren’t enough good ones at any given time for a small group of 4. Plan to bring your own... Don’t bother calling the front desk with questions....you’ll be told three different things by three different people and get no actual resolution or answer. No one seems to know what’s going on at this place! No one is on the same page; it’s as if they just make things up as they go. I walked down to the lobby and asked to speak to a manager regarding our stay; after talking to one another for a moment, the staff couldn’t quite figure out who I should talk to and told me to “just leave an online review.” They sent me a survey at the end of the stay and I responded and included my contact info. Pool Staff was horrible

We went for a two day trip with the kids, they were ecstatic about biking, the lazy river and the water slide. The resort boasts all these amenities. Both days we went to get bikes at 8am, 9am, and checked periodically throughout the day: there was NEVER more than 3 adult bikes and one kid bike. So we never were able to ride bikes. The lazy river was broken both days we were there- we never saw anybody even attempting to fix it. In the middle of the day, the waterslide was closed for two hours- the staff claimed they were understaffed so they couldn’t man it..... which was a lie bc there were THREE guys standing at the towel basket, playing with the Halloween sticky hand toys, trying to see if they could beat each other at grabbing papers off the floor with them. We asked several times, we called the resort three times, finally my husband took care of it and one of the teenager looking boys opened the slide. They just don’t care and it’s a shame bc those are the amenities we went there for. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Weekend Vacation

We stayed in one of the suites at the ocean tower, spacious and very comfy apartment. Excellent service! The pools are amazing. The food it’s ok nothing great but the staff at the restaurants are very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our weekend, Hammock Beach Resort it is beautiful and great place to vacation! We would love to be back soon! The carpet on the rooms had some stains, this could be improved. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We paid for a luxury ocean view. They put us in the south tower in the first floor directly next to a construction site. Scaffolding outside our window and inside the unit smelled like cigarettes. Couldn't see the ocean unless you stood on the four foot ledge that fenced in our balcony/patio. Had a broken down pool next to us and a trash chute. It was extremely far away from everything else over looked a parking lot. Then asked for another unit, view was much better in the north tower! The next day we found out they don't clean your room unless requested due to COVID. They never told us that at check in. Had to request for more towels and cleaning for the following day. Through out the whole resort you are not required to wear a face mask, but yet they won't clean your room due to COVID absolutely makes no sense. Lazy river was broken down, due to a $50,000 motor they have to replace and waiting for approval to fix it (Maintence person told me this). All the restaurants were closed except for one. They reopen on Wednesday. Also was not notified about this at check in. The very first day they gave my daughter a wrist band to go down the slide then the third day they told her she wasn't tall enough. Pool attendant Ken was extremely rude about it. Called out a friend of my daughters and then realized he had the wrong girl. When we went over to talk to him about it he grabbed my daughters arm and cut the wrist band off of her. My daughter was maybe an inch short, he made a big scene about it, very dramatic. Called security. Worst hospitality I've ever witnessed! Safe to say I will never be coming back! Extremely disappointed! It was so bad, this was the first time I've ever posted anything on one of these sites about how bad my experience was. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
