MAKE SURE TO LIKE AND FOLLOW! 🎯 When we headed to Palm Coast, we stayed at the @hammockbeach Golf Resort, where they have a lot of restaurants on site. We happened to eat at Atlantic Grille, which was absolutely BOMB! The atmosphere was awesome, the service from Patrick (The Waiter) was phenomenal, and the food.... I would love to say that this is the best but the only thing that makes it is the pools and the access to the beach and the views of the golf course. The rooms are dated and the fact there is no where to eat bc mon- Thursday they close most of the restaurants. The hot tubs were nice and slide was fun. Drinks were alright at the pool bar. Don’t think I’ll be running back anytime soon. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed 3 nights (Aug 2020) as an end of Summer family getaway before school started back up. The place is nice-ish, but the hotel operation primarily exists to generate revenue that offsets costs for condo owners, club members and the golf course. The hotel is entirely an afterthought. The complex is massive, and largely feels like a 3-star condo/retirement home. The amenities are far too small and too few for the size. Definitely not worth more than $200/night for any size room. The service is "entry-level" at best. The cabana kids that work the pools could not care less, and the management clearly sets no standards of service or consistency in policies. Special shout out to pool-boy Michael, who kicked our kids out of an EMPTY adult pool 30 minutes before pool closing on a Sunday night. They'd already been in there for 45 minutes with no issues from any of the other staff servicing the area. But Michael knows the rules, and dangit, you're gonna follow them. Pool-girl Taylor was also a special treat. Whether it's enforcing rules for the water slide that NOBODY else mentioned throughout our stay or demonstrating her mastery of a lifeguard whistle, she's sure to harass the kids and annoy the bejesus out of the parents. Atlantic Grille was OK for basically being a Doubletree restaurant. Sit outside in the heat and humidity to be forgotten by your server, or sit inside to have the A/C vents dripping on you or flies all around you. Pick your poison. We're told at check-in that the Italian restaurant is closed that night... except some friends we ran into the next morning told us of their delicious meal the night prior. Left information with the concierge for a reservation the following night... called back to confirm, and were told the restaurant was actually closed. Felt like a scene from the movie Office Space... "What would you say... you do here?" Rooms are a very nice size... which must explain why their A/C vents collect so much dirt and dust. (see attached picture) Performed our own cleaning upon check-in and found that sweet treat. Maintenance guy insisted they're changed regularly. I call BS. You decide. Took 4 bikes out for a ride with the family... 1 of them had flat tires... 1 wouldn't stay in gear... the handle bars were loose on the 3rd. I really enjoyed sitting out on the lawn in the morning to watch the sunrise, read the news, and see the golf course grounds crew prep the course for the day. Also, loved seeing the trash build up on that lawn. The cups and straws and cigarette butts felt like family by the end of our stay. We booked with a rate that included a $50 resort credit. Were told at check-in that it'd show on our final bill at check-out. You guessed it... no credit at check-out. This place wants to be great. It is not. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Dismal and dirty. What a disappointment!!!

My husband (a healthcare worker who has been working his butt-off since March) and I were so looking for a quiet 3 night 4 day calm and relaxing getaway in a safe environment given the actual COVID situation. Even though it was for just the two of us, we splurged and got the 3 bedroom ocean front with balcony room on a high floor, so we could have room to relax by ourselves with a book and enjoy the view. First red flag should have been on our initial phone call to make reservations and how many people we were transferred to before getting some info on the resort. Second red flag should have been the total lack of communication after the original reservations, as most resorts/hotels send email before your arrival, etc. We arrived at 4:30 pm, and were told the room was not ready. We asked if we could get an idea of how long it would be so we could plan accordingly and were told they would call us. We finally got the call about 30 minutes later and headed up to the room. On the way there we both noticed how dirty the place looks, with food on the outdoor sofas, wet towels everywhere on the furniture, cheerios on the floor in the elevator etc. The keys to the room didn't work. We call the desk and are told to wait and that they are sending security. After 15 minutes of waiting we go back downstairs, wait in line again, and are reissued new keys after being "admonished" that maybe we left our keys too long by our cell phones! Room 920 looks like it was last decorated and cleaned in 1975. Fridge still had food in it. Furniture was scratched and dirty. And the much anticipated balcony had one chair and a dirty table. We went back to the front desk, spoke to Roby who "apologizes" and gives another room.... Room 717 with a great view of the parking lot and ANOTHER FAMILY ALREADY IN IT...."Oh, that's because people keep wanting to switch rooms because they don't like what they are given" we are told by Roby and Carina. It's now almost 6 30 pm.. We are now in the third room 705 exhausted, in tears and so frustrated but we try to make the best of it. The room is old, the bed is hard, the towels are gray, the kitche hardly has any of the commonly found items in 3 bedroom condo and I feel like I just made a really bad mistake but we decide that we are going to power through this and make the best of it . We wake up to the noise of workers in the room next to ours changing the carpets! If there is a theme to this, it's this: The units are individually owned that the resort has no control over what the owner does, decorates, renovates, etc... that's the excuse we were given over and over. We go back to the desk, and explain the situation again to Carina and ask to speak to the manager. Big surprise! Wait for it.... There is no manager on the premise. She offers to call them... but wait they are not answering their cell. She speaks to the room manager and offer us to check out the condos at Cinnamon Beach. Don't bother! we did after Carina specifically said it was their best room. That room was on the ground next to all the AC units for the entire building. We cancelled the rest of our vacation and left. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. It's gross, dismal, dirty, and in these COVID days they are not the least bit concerned about your safety, We did not feel safe at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spent $500 for two nights to get away, don’t do it if you’re a local or cherish your hard earned money! Place smells like a dump, whole lodge seems like it’s rank. Runaway or stay somewhere else I encourage you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
