Great overnight stay

We ended up Hampton inn because we had to leave out other hotel (absolutely awful). Every hotel was booked but we got lucky with Hampton inn. It was a nice stay. Clean room however the halls smelt really funny. Like smoke. Even though they don't allow it it just had this overwhelmed smell of cigarettes smoke. Other than that, staff was friendly, clean room and quiet. Which we needed from the night before at the other place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good, clean hotel

This was my first time using the Hilton app at a Hampton Inn and I found it very useful. It let me know when my room was ready and allowed me to skip checking in at the front desk and go directly to my room, using a digital key on the app. I loved that! Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower head was new and worked great (see previous review about their shower head). We stayed on the fifth floor and it was very quiet. The employees were sanitizing the elevators daily. There's no hot breakfast, but the hotel offered a brown bag with an orange, croissant, and bottle of juice. Hmm...not that great, but that's our lives right now. There's several restaurants close by and it's easy to get on and off Highway 17 from the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just a coat of paint

Rusted sprinkler head Loose wall tiles No fan in bathroom Very small shower tub ... i even heard a guest request toilet paper on her first night in the room...WTH? It didn't even phase the employee. Uncomfortable beds Old VERY narrow tub Furniture looks like hand-me-downs from other Hiltons TV channels are plentiful but they use that digital sub-channel crap that is not based on cable..but some internal distribution tech...zero instructions anywhere on how to use. Older folks would be lost. Also, no provided guidebook: maybe they thought they'd hide that in a TV channel and I'm not spending my night searching for that...) Super noisy a/c unit - had to stuff a towel in fascia to stop rattle... Besides NOT providing many alternatives to buffet breakfast, the staff was not friendly, provided no information upon check in and even gave us the wrong key card. - I set up a digital key and picked a room online. Staff didn't bother to update their docs. - These hotels could easily shift to packaged breakfast products like oatmeal, grits, breakfast sandwiches, milk, juice, cereal, hardboiled eggs, etc. Instead choose to do NOTHING and say nothing unless you ask and I was told they would put 'something together, despite most of state opening. --- Alternatively, no reason they couldn't partner locally with some sort of voucher at restaurants that WILL serve food. - Next to no selection in pantry despite the lack of other amenities. - Employees should have hand sanitizer out and be cleaning things like elevator buttons, but no. - Pool was closed despite science guidance stating safety of chlorinated water. All boils down to this hotel's opportunistic method of just skimping on comfort and amenities to cash in with rooms marketed at the same rates as always. Using the outbreak as an umbrella excuse to avoid doing typical duties or provide any comfort to guests. This is a time to go above and beyond and they sat on their hands. At minimum, a lot more cleaning should have been occurring. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Location is great!

Nice, convenient place to stay. Beware that Captain Archie's bar staff are not familiar with martinis! What bar doesn't know how to make a martini??? Filets across from parking lot is excellent! Beware of getting a room on First floor as it is VERY noisy outside! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel, great value for the price

Our trip was a short weekend to see family that lives in the Myrtle Beach area. Room, food, amenities were great.Front desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to see our family TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
