All of the service that I had at the Hampton inn on Phillips Lane was very good. But Mrs Jody Thompson was exceptional in her service and her attention to my needs. After staying the night I revealed to her that I had been on the street for a couple weeks due to getting heat in the head on a big job I did. She didn't judge me she didn't look down on me she treated me as one of her best executive customers and I can't tell you what that meant to me after what I've gone through in the last two weeks. I hope that she is getting paid when she's worth although I doubt that is possible she was amazing she deserves to be commended by this company. I spend 100+ nights per year in many levels of hotel/motel rooms and I'm familiar with the hotels in Louisville. I maintain Hilton Diamond and Gold Bonvoy/Marriott status. I like Hampton Inns for their consistency and accessible locations. Additionally I've had to travel during the pandemic and totally understand/accept the changes and challenges to both guest and property. However honest, I wish my review was more positive. I have no issues with the physical property it's self. Was given the wrong room at check-in. No Diamond snack at check-in. WiFi was not the upgraded/faster for Diamond. If is was ,it's impossibly slow... Closet doors in room were broken. Visible dust on any thing close to a 6' height. Used/old wash cloth left on shower curtain. I was aware but nothing was communicated to me at check-in about breakfast being a to-go box. Nor was there any signage at the breakfast area or front desk. To-go box was ridiculous! Yogurt with no spoon, two hard boiled eggs and a plain bagel. No power bar, fruit, danish, juice, milk, etc. Daily I witnessed staff smoking a few feet from the front doors. At front desk check-out I was not asked how my stay was; a goodbye; thanks, only here you go when I asked for a printed receipt... In conclusion: Not a bad property. Just not Hampton Inn quality people running the place... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just stayed for one night while visiting the University of Louisville. Location was GREAT, just off the expressway & only 5 or so minutes from campus. The hotel was very nice. Front desk staff friendly & helpful. Room was GREAT. Not tiny, plenty of room!! Beds were comfy. There was also a sticker on the door (& TV remote) to show the room had been sanitized and no one in after. Fridge, microwave & coffee maker in the room. Snacks for purchase right in the lobby was convenient. There were also "boxed breakfast" available, but we did not partake so can't critique it. The only negative I can say is A. you have to pay for parking in the open lot on the property (which I wasn't aware of until checkout) and B. it was LOUD. Sirens & airplanes. ALL night. Louder than a downtown hotel should be (in my opinion) I would stay again though for the price & location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I had a good experience at this Hampton last year so decided to stay here again. I was pleased to receive a suite when I only paid for a sing!e room. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of everything, even the smell of the rooms. Bathroom was well stocked with washcloths and towels. Room included coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. I did not receive room service for a two night stay but think I read somewhere that this is to minimize contact during the Civic 19 scare. I really prefer for no one to enter my room anyway so this was fine with me. Breakfast was a bag with water, muffin and Nutrigrain bar but I don't think you can expect much more during these times. I know Hampton serves a great breakfast when they are able. One more thing I love about this Hampton is the proximity (2 blocks) to the Ohio River and the bike loop. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I travel a lot but this place was amazing. Jody Thompson started our check in right off and was very friendly and helpful. She resolved my issue right away. Gloria housekeeper answered all my questions promptly and accurately and was the sweetest women ever. Guest were friendly, even made a couple friends her at the hot rod nationals. Even the manager of the hotel across the parking lot and introduced himself. Room was spotless and this is the best out of state stay I have experienced. Keep up the good work guys!
