Good Hotel and location but...

Jul 11th, 2019

We stayed in two in rooms that were larger than we expected. They are well furnished and bed is comfortable. Great views from the top floor viewing area. Very well located for Union Square, trams and trolley buses. $15 for a Lyft to Pier 39. Breakfast is the usual Hampton selection: waffles, pastries, fruit, toast etc. And now for the ‘but’ our room was on the West side of the building overlooking an industrial yard where the did work in the small hours if the morning and it noisy. There is good sound proofing but not enough to stop a considerable noise when you are normally asleep. I would stay here again but not on the west side. Local parking can be booked cheaper than the hotels valet rate. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very bad area

Jul 10th, 2019

Nice staff, clean hotel, very seedy area. My wife was propositioned walking to an upscale mall a block from the hotel. This hotel needs help from the city to clean this area up. I’m sure they pay enough taxes. The hotel and staff are doing everything right, but like I say they need some help. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A very nice Hampton Inn in downtown SF

Jul 4th, 2019

The hotel itself is very nice, clean and up to date. The Verizon Wireless cell service is very limited inside this building and almost non-existent in the basement where breakfast is held. The rooms are small but but not cramped but what do you expect from a hotel in a major city. The staff was very friendly. There is a lot of homeless in the area but I never had an issue as I walked around town. You can walk to the start of one of the cable car lines from here and to any of the train services fairly quickly. I did not drive a car on this trip but I know from past experience that parking is limited and the hotel does offer valet parking. Breakfast each day was very good and well stocked. Sketchy Neighborhood. Find a Safer Area To Say

Jul 2nd, 2019

This hotel is located in a sketchy neighborhood. There were homeless people all around the entrance and up and down the block. Not what I expect from a Hilton property. It is even worse at the back entrance on Jesse St. Warning: Uber will want to drop you off on the back side of the hotel off of Jesse, even though the address listed is on Mission. Make sure to let your Uber driver know that the navigation on their App is wrong. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Main interaction was check in and check out. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was a large with a spacious walk in shower. Room felt a bit small. There was wasted space near the door and closet yet other areas felt cramped. There were only outlets on one side of the bed. Really need outlets at both night stands with a Kind sized bed. Bed was reasonably comfortable. The included breakfast was good. There was a wide selection of hot foods, juices, fruit, cold cereal, and of course coffee. The main hot entree was different all 3 morning I went down there. The hotel is nice, it is just located in a sketchy neighborhood. Had to drop 3 stars just because of the location. If I had been traveling with a family I would have requested that Hilton get me a room in a safer area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Small accommodations

Jul 1st, 2019

When we book the room through Hilton Honors we were under the impression we were going to get at least an average room, upon our arrival we were shocked to find that we had a very small room with no chair even just certain. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
