Covid-19 postponed Christmas

Covid-19 postponed our Christmas. We just checked out. I'm now going to go over everything loved about this hotel. I'm just going to dito about everyone's positive reviews. The valet staff, front desk and housekeeping were the most pleasant I've been with. We had to bring the hole house including a Christmas tree. Lol. We had a much needed " get off the planet get away". The rest we got was priceless. Ps. The church bells were a bonus. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Horrible Hotel & Hospitality

This property has zero charm. Using the description “historic” actually means old, outdated, dirty and uncomfortable. If you smoke weed, this is the place for you to stay as the stench throughout the hallways seeping into the rooms is overwhelmingly obnoxious and the management cared less about our comfort and only about “protecting other guests privacy”. We were in a suite that was dingy, dark and dirty. Furniture, appliances and fixtures falling apart or inoperable. Valet “service” was handing you your key to retrieve your own vehicle. While there is a pandemic this hotel should use the time to put their staff to work to clean the filth and mold throughout the hotel or better yet, shut the place down. This hotel isn’t worth $25 per night. Hilton needs to take their name off this property as it’s a disgrace to the brand. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Historic Downtown Hotel

A truly beautiful restored downtown hotel with easy access to downtown venues and restaurants. Room was large and clean. The only negative is during covid they are serving bag breakfast and it was terrible--nothing hot-a very unusual combination of cold foods. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

7am Sunday morning church music woke us

So sadly this charming hotel has a church that disrespects a whole hotel and blares music at 7 am Sunday morning. We needed our sleep and had to get up. Too bad for this hotel. The hotel is very charming and I would stay all but Saturday night to avoid the church music wake up call. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Best Customer Service in Birmingham, AL!

What a wonderful stay in Birmingham, AL! The hotel was lovely and cleanliness was a top priority, but what made this trip truly special was the people. Everyone from the valet to the front desk was warm, friendly, and genuine. I highly recommend this hotel if you are passing through or spending a weekend downtown! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
