Stopping for the night
Jan 12th, 2021
Hotel is very clean although seems a bit outdated compared to others. Usually mentioned or thanked as a Diamond member but the front desk had all she could do to check us in. Rooms are spacious and roomy. Had a comfortable bed with lots of pillows. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stopped in for the night while taking my mother back home following the holidays. Service was very friendly at check in. Room was very clean and comfortable. All in all- a great stay. I’ll be back when traveling through again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
BEWARE: No mask enforcement
Dec 29th, 2020
We stopped here overnight on our way back home because my dad usually swears by Hampton Inn. He boasts about the breakfast and the good service. We’d stopped at the Hampton Inn Walterboro, in SC on the way up, and had a great breakfast, with hot food, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. The service was excellent and Covid policies were strictly enforced. However, at this Hampton Inn, there were barely any options for breakfast. Cold, prepackaged hard boiled eggs, cold prepackaged bagels that they did not toast or didn’t provide a way of heating up. As for the Covid policies, BEWARE! There are some signs posted, some were ripped. There was no one enforcing the masks and there were people walking around without masks. We had a very disturbing experience in the elevator. I was traveling with my parents, who are older and have been very careful about wearing masks and steering clear of people. Our elevator stopped on the way down, when a man came on without a mask and we asked him to please put one on and he refused. We said he should be wearing one and he said he didn’t care. I told him about the policy and even pointed out the sign INSIDE the elevator. We asked him to get off of the elevator and he refused and closed the elevator doors and we were forced to ride down with him. There was no one there to enforce the mask wearing. If my parents get Covid, you will be hearing from me, in a much more formal way. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Didn’t meet my Hampton Inn expectations
Dec 20th, 2020
Staff was great. Location fine. Hotel seems a little tired for a Hampton. Carpet in room showed lots of wear. Sink and bath drained but slowly. Toilet ran all the time. WiFi was not reliable. We always stay at Hamptons but will try one of the other many hotels the next time we visit the grandparents. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
