Perfect Location, Very Hospitable Staff

This was our first hotel stay during the pandemic and we did not know what to expect. But, in light of the circumstances, I felt the venue did a very nice job. This property is wonderfully located, walking distance to great restaurants, Beale Street of course, the waterfront, the Peabody ducks, Sun Studio, Museum of Rock n Soul and the trolley. Our room was clean and the staff was very gracious when we wanted everything from more lotion, to bottled water at breakfast, coffee packets and more creamer. They even found us glass wine glasses (versus paper) for wine that we brought in. I also felt the security was good given the location. These are tough times but I felt this site rose to the occasion. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent Customer Service: Accommodating, Professional and Clean

Mr. Patrick Scales was very accommodating in allowing the Tanner family to use the facility last minute for their wedding ceremony. Unexpected non-stop rain left the Tanners with few options for their outdoor planned wedding. The Tanners who had room accommodations at the facility asked if there was an available Hall that could be used for their wedding that was supposed to happen within the next two hours since the rain had no sight of stopping. The assistant general manager was able to grant the request with no hesitation. As a guest I was very amazed at how open, clean and well the decor was in the grand entrance. The staff was very friendly. It is centrally located in downtown Memphis. Once on the property you could easily forget you are in the hustle and bustle of downtown Memphis. The property grounds are so serene. The trees, plants and flowers gives the feeling of being in a tucked away private island. The parking was easy. I would strongly recommend booking this hotel for your night's stay or events! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Over this past weekend my cousin was to be married in Memphis, in one of the city parks. Unfortunately it rained bad, a good part of Saturday morning making the park unusable for the ceremony. So around 10am the bride was in a tailspin as we figured out what Plan B was going to be. My cousin (the bride) was staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites located at 175 Peabody pl, in downtown Memphis, as part of the festivities for the wedding. Thats when Patrick Scales the Assistant General Manager stepped in and help. When the situation was explained to Patrick he never said let me make a call, you can’t have too many people, you only get so much time, he said whatever you need we will do. His only request was that we wear masks, which we happily obliged. On what started off as a VERY BAD, Patrick truly represented for the Hampton Inn and Suites Brand and helped make Saturday September 12 one happiest day of my cousins life. Patrick you deserve a raise and a vacation!!!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis - Beale Street

Booked this hotel to see Graceland, Beale St, and the civil rights museum. Initial impression on entering the lobby was that everything looked and smelled clean. On arrival to the room, found air vent covered heavily with dust. It was cleaned and small about reduced from that night's bill after reporting it and showing pic's. Next morning, found coffee condiment pack stuck together with two used gum wads left by prior guests. This was shown to the manager, who was as disgusted as we were. The carpet was very dirty, made my daughter's clean socks that she wore only to cover her feet during sleep look like she had walked miles in the dirt. Blood was found on our pillow cases, copious black mold growing on the ice machine drip pan, and thick dust on the lamp. Motorcyclists were revving their motors till late at night on last 2 nights. Police showed up after I called front desk. This hotel is poorly situated in bad neighborhood despite proximity to Beale St. Random maintenance person sent to our room in violation of Covid hotel rules for the vent. Had requested a vacuum to remove it myself to avoid unnecessary contact. Bag breakfast was provided on first day to be picked up in lobby, but then uncovered fruit was left out on subsequent days. Totally unacceptable during this pandemic. We accepted no food items for remained of stay. Canceled last day of our planned vacation with my family. We had had enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Labor Day Stay

Location was excellent, everything was walking distance from the hotel including a block from the famous Beale St., but a few of the staffs are not very friendly. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk did not bother explaining anything about the hotel nor that they were two key cards, one for hotel room and one for parking. Would have been nice to know that to avoid inconveniences. When we checked out, the lady in the parking lot said we supposed to have our parking card, explained we already checked out and front desk told us we would not need the parking card. On the positive note only the gentleman in the front desk during the day has good customer service skills as far as the ladies, NOPE! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
