Best hotel location in Boston

Jul 12th, 2019

We love it! We only stayed for one night. The room was very spacious, everything you needed was there. We were on the 6th floor which was very quiet from street noise. It was very clean with a hint of old Boston decor. Great value for money considering everything was within walking distance of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful they held our bags after check out so we could do more sightseeing! We would definitely book in here again!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Have stayed here 2x and would go back.

Great area, solid value. Rooms are quiet, clean and spacious. Much cheaper than big hotels with rooms that cost more. I kind of love this place. Use the closer parking lot on state street (the one on the left not the one on the right). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location but everything could use an update

Jul 4th, 2019

The location is great as you are only a few minutes away from the Quincy Market and the North End. The room is small, on the older side, but very clean. There was a window but it overlooked inside the building not the street. Also no coffee maker in the room and the TV was fuzzy. Also very expensive. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Too much light from interior courtyard, blackout drapes needed!

Jul 2nd, 2019

I found the staff pleasant at this hotel and the location is fantastic. What I didn’t like was that my room a -15 faced an internal courtyard that was lit up brightly by accent lighting. One would assume this lighting would dimmed or turned off at night, but it wasn’t. Since the room only has metal levelor style blinds, it’s impossible to get a reasonable level of darkness. When I complained to the staff in the morning they indicated that they are aware of the problem, so I’m hardly the only one who has mentioned this. They should install blackout drapes and/or turn off the lighting after 10:00pm. Really guys, this is a self inflicted problem. If you are light sensitive, this is not the place to stay or make sure you have a room that is not facing the interior courtyard. I would not stay here again until this is fixed. Average minus - expensive for what you get

To echo other recent reports - unfortunately the reports I viewed a few months ago were more positive - there are some good features such as location and room size but otherwise it does not really work to its potential and therefore poor value for money. Needs a make-over as generally internals were dull and dark and staff friendliness appeared quite variable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
