What a view!!!

Jan 16th, 2020

We had 22 rooms booked for a wedding close by. It was nice getting to visit with family and friends at such an awesome location with breathtaking views at every angle. The Suites and rooms at Harborside Resort were perfect for our large family. The rooms were clean with mini fridges and spacious for visiting and catching up with cousins, aunts and uncles. And did I mention the views? Breathtakingly beautiful sunrises and sunsets! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointed

Jan 13th, 2020

We had a very dirty room, broken door handles, broken patio door latches, faucets. There was almost not counter space in the bathroom. There was no working exhaust fan in the bathroom. Our horrible view of the parking lot was only made worse by the loud loading dock/maintnance area right below our 4th floor window. We expected way better! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful place

Jan 6th, 2020

We’ve stayed at several places over the past year. Harborside was by far our favorite. The bed was comfortable and we didn’t wake up sore. The view was gorgeous. We loved watching the ships go by. We look forward to staying here again in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect spot for a Charleston getaway!

Jan 4th, 2020

Loved this hotel! Check in and out could not have been simpler - and both were super speedy. Guest rooms were perfect. All areas of the hotel were clean and well kept. Fun highlights of the hotel were the pools, free bikes to ride around the grounds, and the free shuttle with regular service to and from the center of town (we loved Tabitha!). The resort is conveniently located near all that Charleston has to offer, without the crowds and noise of being right inside the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Patriots Point

Jan 3rd, 2020

I chose this hotel for the easy access to Patriots Point. I give it an A+ for the pier that leads to the ships. It is a pretty walk around the marina. It would be considered a long walk for people that cannot walk long distances. It saved us paying for parking the two times we walked over. Everything was close to the hotel. We went to Sullivan's Island within 10 minutes and also went to Charleston a few times. I wanted to take the water taxi but it doesn't run until 10 during the winter hours and we wanted to get our day started earlier. We also never used the shuttle to Charleston. It also didn't start until 10 and we didn't want to have to wait for it to pick us back up. Based off of us not using these things, I wouldn't stay here again. It wasn't worth the extra 29 bucks a day resort fee. The first room they put us in was a king parking lot view. It was an older room and the air wasn't cooling. It was in the 70s that day and felt very stuffy. They said they would fix our air and we left. We came back and it was still 73 in the room. They moved us upon request to a king Harborside view. It was much nicer and the air worked great. I do appreciate being able to move and having a balcony and better view. We decided to stay an extra night and were told we could keep our same room. Unfortunately, they gave it away so we had to move a 3rd time to a 2 queen room but still Harborside view. It was also a good room with air that worked. We didn't use any of the amenities like I thought we would so the price I paid for three days wasn't worth it. It all depends on what you plan to do on your stay. We found several good restaurants across the street at the main red light. Melvin's BBQ was delicious! You can use everything the beach club has to do, we just never made it over there. The staff was always friendly and helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
