Shockingly poor service.
Oct 11th, 2020
My family of 3 stayed 2 nights at the recommendation of a friend. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. However, this was more than overshadowed by the lack of service. First, our towels were taken after the first night and then the maid service never returned. When we came back at 5:30 I told the front desk who sent someone up and we went to the lounge. Whomever they sent stuffed towels in the holder without folding them, threw the covers over the bed without even moving the pillows and called it good. The room was never cleaned (and it’s still Covid time). We spent 1 1/2 hours at the foyer of the lounge and were never waited on despite 2 trips to the bar to ask for service. Impossible to believe after spending $569 for 2 nights. We cancelled our 3rd night and went back home. No remedy or compensation was offered and I never lost it. I’m just truly disappointed. A hotel makes a statement with its history.
Oct 1st, 2020
This hotel was built in 1927 and it is making a conscious effort to keep its old world charm. The elevator has to be operated by the staff and is definitely of another time and generation. The furniture in the public areas is deliberately dated. I even saw a reclining couch! But this does not mean the place is a dump. Everything is well kept and well painted. We had a refrigerator and coffee maker in our room. And, of course, free wi-fi! There was a small peripheral that provided USB ports and extra electrical connections.. I usually stay at Hilton Garden Inns and I love them but I confess that it was a special feeling to be staying in a hotel with a piece of history but all the comforts of home. And it is right in the heart historic downtown! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The Pros and Cons
Sep 23rd, 2020
Pros: Location - close walking distance from everything downtown Service - the staff is overall very friendly and helpful Beds and pillows - comfortable AC/Heating - work well Restaurant - food is good, nothing spectacular but ok if you don't want to leave the hotel. Cons: Rooms are small but to be expected out of a hotel of it's age. Bathrooms are very small and could use a face lift. No fan in bathroom. Floors are very squeaky so if you're not on the top floor you'll be listening to the people above in the evenings and mornings. Zero soundproofing in rooms so you hear every little noise from the halls, especially the slamming of doors in the morning. There's no sleeping in. Our room was one floor up from the lobby and right next to one of their outside patio speakers so music was playing outside our window starting early morning and going until late evening. No elevator without staff assistance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Road Trip to Prescott

This is a very nice quaint/historic hotel. The rooms were very nicely decorated and quiet. The staff was very friend and accommodating. It was nice to be in walking distance of the Court House Square and all the downtown restaurants. Parking was very convenient and free. This is the place to stay when visiting Prescott.
