Gem in the Desert

Aug 15th, 2019

This small boutique property is a perfect gem. The room was spacious...walk-in closet, large bed, seating area, dining area, a fireplace and outside seating patio. The grounds are lovely, gardens and pool. There are two restaurants and both are excellent. The casual one is by the bar and has intimate seating areas around fireplaces. The other restaurant has inside and outside seating...just lovely. It is also dog friendly! the staff are simply wonderful. Highly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Oasis in the City

The Hermosa Inn is quiet and peaceful you would never realize how close you are to civilization. A real chance to tune out and listen to nature and the beautiful fountains. The staff is friendly and not so present that you feel the are intruding. Old world service and style. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quiet, clean, comfortable and elegant. Love this place!

Aug 8th, 2019

We stayed for 3 nights in a Grande Casita, where the 3rd night was free. Unlike the last hotel I'd stayed at, I didn't have to jump to get into the bed, and the mattress and pillows were comfortable. The comforter was luxurious, and the air conditioning great. It was easy to understand how to set the controls. The bathroom had an enormous tub - a true soaker - and a large glass-walled shower with intense shower head. Not painful amount of water, but feisty, and built-in shampoos. The WC was in a separate room for privacy, and had an impressive flush. Each room had solid wooden doors and either tile floors or real wood. Almost ADA, but had lintels to walk over. The usual luxuries - hair dryer, TV in each room (except bathroom, or I would have moved in!) and a big fridge and Keurig. However, I missed a microwave (as we brought doggie bags from various restaurants in, and couldn't reheat). Big rug and soft seating in the living room, but missed having a real rug under my feet in the separate bedroom. Actually got a splinter in my heel from turning around on the floor by the TV one night. We ordered room service for dessert one night, which was delicious (Lon's Candy bar and the key lime) and the staff delivers fresh, nearly hot cookies gratis each night. YUM. I tried the Inn's hot tub one morning, as the pool was generally busy, and there were a lot of ants, but it was hella private. The valets and staff were friendly, and I found the place very CLEAN. Strongly recommend!! A+++ TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Inn

We had a wonderful time. This is a magical place. The flowers and gardens are beautiful. We loved the private patio. The food was "over the top" both in taste and quality. The staff was most hospitable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

You will never want to stay anywhere else !

After reading about this hotel for a few years, I decided to try it. I have now stayed twice and probably will not stay anywhere else while in the Phoenix area. It is paradise in a secluded but not remote area. It is easily accessible fro most of the valley and well worth trying it out. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous. The restaurant is amazing. A short drive to hiking, golf, shopping. I highly recommend this hidden pleasure. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
