Long wait time for elevators

May 26th, 2019

I was in Boston for a conference and chose to stay at the Hilton based on positive reviews. However, I regret staying here and wish I had stayed at the Sheraton or Copley. Although rooms are comfortable, all other aspects are weak. Only two of the three elevators were working, which resulted in long wait times to go up/down. In a hotel with 26 floors, that is absurd. I do not recommend staying here, at least not during holiday weekends or high season. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible Management, Better Options Nearby

May 26th, 2019

Was here for a conference in May and the management is terrible. They let two elevators sit unfixed for 3 days, all the while claiming that someone was coming to fix it. I live in a high rise in Chicago and be assured when 1 of our elevators is down, people are there the same day to fix it. This kind of response tells me that the management has no clue and does not value guest experience. As a result of having only 2 out of 4 elevators working on a 28 floor hotel, wait times to get up and down were often longer than 20 minutes. Other guests were furious and rightly so since 1 of the 2 down elevators was the service elevator which meant that housekeeping had to use the guest elevators as well making wait times even worse. I read plenty of reviews and corporate responses and they will undoubtedly say the problem has been fixed or will be, but the real problem is the management that refuses to call in and pay for after hours elevator repair. Dont stay here the Westin, Marriott, or Copley Square Hotel are comparable and Ive had better experience in all of them. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hilton Hospitality Excellence and a great location!

May 25th, 2019

Looking for a comfortable place to spend the day and into the night, we popped into the Hilton Boston Back Bay while the teens were attending a music festival in Cambridge. Easy to get too off of the Mass Pike, getting in was easy. Very modern and funky decor makes this Hilton "pop." The staff are super friendly and attend to every guest with enthusiasm. The lobby bar is a nice spot to relax and have a small bite or beverage. Rooms are well appointed as one would expect from Hilton. We had a corner room with a nice city view. We enjoyed access to the executive lounge which is spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. Unless we missed something, we had hoped to find some sort of light food and beverage service. Instead, we only found self-service soft drinks, fruit, and prepackaged snacks. We will be back to this location because of its convenient location and wonderful staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

OK but rather expensive for what you get

May 6th, 2019

Selected this hotel because it was close to the Hynes Convention Center. Since all rooms are quite expensive I payed a bit more for a somewhat larger room. Room was very clean, and well maintained by housekeeping. Bed and bedding of good quality. And airco worked fine. Bathroom quite small with a shower in a rather tiny and thin bathtub. Small people may fit in but not if you are a guy over 6ft4. Had to be very careful. Not what you expect in this price range. All in all, price/performance (400 USD / night) is too expensive but presume that is because of the location next to the Convention Center. Tip: if you just cross the street to the Sheraton, you can enter the Hynes Convention Center too and don't have to walk around to the front entry. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
