Amazing Views and Beautiful Hotel

Feb 16th, 2020

Perfect view of the Danube and Parliament Building. Gorgeous Hotel and atmosphere. Lovely helpful staff (The concierge is a gentleman that knows Budapest well). Unfortunately the breakfast is a let down, the Hotel advertises "Fantastic Breakfast" but it was average 2 star breakfast. Coffee was woeful and a lot of the buffet breakfast was empty or only available after waiting a long time. The omelette was a joke. Would stay here again though as the Hotel is lovely but I'd go to a cafe for breakfast. Highly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

2 Nights in Budapest

Feb 8th, 2020

For our anniversary we decided to spend it in Budapest. We reached the hotel before check in time, thankfully our room was ready. Richard at the front desk was very helpful and provided us with useful tips to get around the city. Our room had an amazing view of the parliament and Fisherman’s Bastion below. Very clean and comfortable bed. It is what one expects from Hilton. At the time of our stay building works were carried out. We were warned before of this. Did not bother us much as we were out exploring most of the time. Great cocktails and drinks available at the bar. The best thing about this hotel is it’s location and close proximity to sights and restaurants on the Buda side of the river. Thank you for a lovely experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed at the Hilton Budapest for 5 nights in December 2019, the negative reviews about the front desk is all true without a shadow of doubt. The attitude of the front desk is unacceptable, they are unwilling to help and only give basic hotel information when asked, they are more than happy to ignore you. If you are looking for customer service then DONT stay here! UNWELCOMING FRONT DESK STAFF are in desperate need of Hilton training!! Let’s face it, no-one stays here for free, we all pay to have the luxury of customer services and the facilities of a 4/5 star establishment. We were actually overcharged £4.90 for a bottle of mineral water however settled the bill in cash at checkout. We were later charged £4.90 again on our credit card for the same transaction. We emailed the hotel several times to eszter.alfonso now 8 weeks on and No response and No refund - SO BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD! Local shops down the road from hotel sell water for about £0.80p per litre. We were allocated a side room which literally had "no view” other than of side walls of Matthias Church. Around 200 people arrived for a 2 day conference so became over crowded. Rooms are well maintained and housekeeping did a good job. The rest of staff are an asset to the hotel and work hard to maintain it. Don’t expect anything from Hilton Budapest front desk though. Would I stay here again? I doubt it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
