Excellent location for Rock N Roll Chicago

Aug 20th, 2019

I have stayed here before. I had noted that The Fugitive was filmed in here, and I stayed back in late 80s. Now I was in town for the Rock n Roll Chicago running race. This proved to be an excellent location especially given the scorching temperatures. Easy walking access to The Bean, Buckingham Fountain, Willis Tower and the subway. It was convenient and exactly what was needed for a long weekend. Room was as expected; larger than NYC size, but smaller than Toronto. Still it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend for others to use. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good experience

Nice service, clean hotel and friendly staff. I enjoyed the view of the city of Chicago, and the complimentary drinks that came with the honors program. The lobby is beautiful and all the floor is clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel

Aug 20th, 2019

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel recently, check in was very quick and straight forward, no queues when we arrived. Our room was on 20th floor with lovely views over Lake Michigan, even though your on a high floor you can still hear traffic noise so if your a light sleeper you might prefer to use ear plugs. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, we even had 2 bathrooms so that was very helpful as there were 3 of us in the room. There was one evening where the room across the corridor decided they would have a party, the noise of them running up and down the corridor, squealing and banging doors was ridiculous and woke us 3 times. On the 3rd occasion we did go out into the corridor and thankfully security were on there way so guess we weren't the only ones disturbed by selfish guests! Apart from that one incident our stay here was lovely and the hotel is beautiful, we often had a drink in Kitty O'Sheas which is a nice friendly pub and food was nice too. The hotel is in a good location for sight seeing and if you want to venture further the loop train service is only 5 minutes away and very easy to use (a 3 day pass was $20). If we are ever in Chicago again we would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous hotel

Aug 19th, 2019

This was a fabulous hotel in a fabulous area where we could walk everywhere. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The only negative is you have to pay to store your luggage. This is the first time I have ever had to pay for luggage storage. This higher end hotel should not be charging for luggage storage. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location, great conference hotel.

Aug 19th, 2019

This Hilton is a classic, beautiful old hotel....at one time it was the flagship of the chain. The entrance foyer off of Michigan avenue is one of the most beautiful you will ever see. The triple elevator banks are great, even with a large conference going on, the elevators were never a wait. This is unusual since many hotels save money on elevators, thus making guests wait and waste time. The location is wonderful, within walking distance of a great many attractions and restaurants. Rooms are quiet, clean and well designed. Pull your room blinds at night since the 'E' design gives clear views into other guest rooms. It is a bit expensive, though I am cheap, others may consider the prices quite reasonable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
