Week vacation in the sun and surf!
Nov 25th, 2020
I had a massage from Michele MICHELLE at the Hibiscus spa it was fantastic. She hit all the pressure points that I needed and was very friendly and caring and I really appreciated being able to get the last massage of the week because I heard that they closed after that day so I was very fortunate. Good Hotel With Aging Issues
Nov 15th, 2020
We came for a stay-cation as we live in Tampa. Our go-to is usually St Pete beach but this was closer and we used some honor points for the room. The rooms are smaller than I expected, but otherwise nice with good furniture and decor. The beds here are AWFUL. By far the most uncomfortable beds I’ve experienced in a hotel. The rooms by the street have a lot of street noise, so bring something with you to block that out to sleep. The sliding doors are very hard to open/close so would be difficult for kids or elderly. The lunch and dinner here was great honestly. The breakfast was not in any way worth the money: coffee, orange juice, pancakes with 3 slices bacon and French toast with 3 sausage links... $50??!! But the worst part was my daughters room.... smelled like raw sewage in the bathroom. My grand babies slept with that smell for 3 nights! Worse is that they were aware of the issue and were going to look into it after our stay. Also beware of VERY aggressive seagulls here. They do not have this seagull issue at St Pete or any other beach I’ve been to. The staff was very friendly, but I’d think twice before booking again unless some updates had been made. Loved our vacation here but things to know
Nov 14th, 2020
We did a 4 day vacation getaway here. We really enjoyed ourselves. This is probably by far the best location for walk out to the beach. You go out back and your immediately in the sand. They have beautiful chairs and umbrellas with right as you walk out those are free to sit but kinda far from beach. You can rent chairs and umbrellas etc. to have closer to the beach or take your own. They have 2 pools side by side one for kiddie and the bigger one. They have a drink stand there to buy drinks a soda was like $3.25 but you get free refills while sitting at the pool. The nice thing about this place is you can walk to the shopping and everything! Just up the street there is dolphin boat tours, jet skis etc and fhere is a Surf n Style huge store for shopping with an indoor surfing to ride the waves!! if your looking for some fun but note the surfing is pricey. My husband and son did the 30 minute round and it was plenty of time they had a blast. If your looking for some good food there is a place called Frenchy’s and it has beautiful scenery as you sit out on the beach and eat watching the sunset (note there are two Frenchy’s the other is not on the beach) . You can walk from the hotel to this one on the beach. Come out of the back of the hotel and go right . It is bit of a walk but we loved it!! You can also get to it from walking the street but we enjoyed walking along the beach better. There is also a restaurant called Crabby’s it sits at the round about /circle intersection. You can go to the 3rd floor of the restaurant and eat in the open air overlooking the harbor and city it’s beautiful! As far as the hotel the rooms are ok our shower had some black in the grout..the rooms are kinda small and nothing over fancy. We had the room with the harbor view but be aware you will be overlooking the shopping strip below then the harbor in the distance it was still nice. We went on off season so the city was fairly quiet but I imagine at busy time it might be noisy to listen to. We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. Be aware of the pricing at this hotel you will pay nightly rate plus resort fee plus $25.00 per day to park here. Also they have 2 different taxes for room and state. We were unaware of the parking fees until after we booked. Clearwater has limited parking so even public parking has a fee. What is included with your stay is you get 5 free photos they send to your email of you and you’re family posing at the beach. You also to get ride their bikes for an hour at a time. Be aware they have no kid bikes though. They also offer canoe/ paddle boards at certain time in morning included with stay. The staff was nice. The pool area is nice and they give you towels. Everything is access by key. So don’t forget your room key to get in the pool area. We saw some of the most spectacular sunset views here. They also have a nice dock very close for fishing etc with a gift shop. I found the prices at the gift shop out on the dock were better than the other stores. We really enjoyed it here it was very relaxing. A well needed break away. Oh also there is a huge water slide and some other things right on the beach for kids but you do have to pay for them. Some reviews made us almost change our mind. Our travel agent told us about the great location and the beach bar. We're pretty sure this is an older Holiday Inn, probably built in the 70-80 period. The property shows it's age here and there but it was clean and comfortable. We mostly liked the workers. Every employee we spoke to were very pleasant. The pool and bar area are nice and well ran. The beach chairs are plenttiful but have a daily fee. Don't miss the Tiki Bar, lots of fun on the beach. Jenn is the major hostess and talk about a multi-task worker, she's the real deal. IF we go to Clearwater we will for sure stay at the Hilton again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful spot on the beach

I really read reviews and most here are correct. Pros: amazing beach front, tiki bar in the sand, beautiful pool with a full service bar, excellent service, great security, in the thick of Clearwater Beach. Cons: loud, not quite a 4 star, room views are lacking. We stayed on points and took a room on floor 8 overlooking Mandalay and the bay. The view was fun, but was noisy on the weekend. The town has a party vibe, although the Hilton is pretty subdued. The street in front is hopping on the weekend. The room was modern, but on the smaller side. Just be aware that this hotel has a great beachfront, but the views from the rooms are not the best. The hotel is shaped like an L. Many of the Gulf view rooms have a side view, so check it before booking, if it is an issue. For us, it was a good stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
