Excellent weekend stay

Drove from Mainz to Cologne for the weekend and stayed in the Hilton. Upgraded as a gold HH member to a great deluxe room. Excellent location, 10 minutes from the centre. Great staff and breakfast and a wonderful bar to relax in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Great hotel, great service!

We have been visiting Cologne for a few days and we decided to stay in this hotel. The service is excellent!! Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. They even give us some food as "take away" to have later during the course of the day...I mean...what else can you wish! Courtesy and kindness are the rules of the staff that was very helpful with hour requests. We wish to go back there soon...I hope! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Great location, friendly staff

This Hilton is in a great location. Walking distance to the train station and most major sightseeing attractions, especially the cathedral. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms good size and clean and the hotel gym is above average. Definitely recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Excellent location, nice hotel

A minute's walk from the train station and cathedral, this place was a great base during a business trip to Cologne. The wifi was excellent and the rooms spacious, while there were plenty of Covid-19 measures in place TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Fading glory

There used to be a time when the Hilton was one of the top hotels in Cologne. During my last visit, I had to notice that it is losing a lot of this old glory. Everything starts to look a bit dated: bathrooms, elevators, furniture, hotel bar... That means that by now you probably have cooler and fresher hotels at a comparable price (e.g. the 25Hour Hotel). A disappointment was the reduction of service because of Covid. Some of the measures are unnecessary and poorly disguised cost-cutting measures, e.g. that daily housekeeping is by default not provided. Instead you need to specifically ask if you want to have your room cleaned. Apart from that, the hotel offers the basics you would expect from the Hilton brand: outstandingly clean.
