Very comfortable, clean and safe

Jun 30th, 2020

We stayed for 3 nights recently while moving my son out of NAU for the summer. Check in was easy. Coffee and tea are always available. We used the pool by reserving our time. It was nice as one night we had it all to ourselves. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Never again

Booked this HGI as the rate was attractive and these properties are usually a bit of a step up from their piers. Further, as a Diamond with HH entitles myself and a guest to a complementary breakfast, which are always hot and usually quite good. On this occasion, due to Covid, no hot breakfast, but a continental breakfast was still being served. Great. However, the manager said that since 'we were all making sacrifices' (??) Diamonds were not entitled to the breakfast, even though it was a lesser offering, and I could 'take it or leave it', and he would happily check me out as there were other properties in the area I could stay in. So, this is what Diamond status, for many years, gets you. I get that many dont care about status and such, but this does provide some idea of what management here is like. Internet did not work, and after 3 calls down, was finally able to get s code that did. Rooms were typical HGI and were clean. But no way am I ever staying at this property again, or any HGI for some time. Classless, and well, rude. Surprised too that unlike all other properties I stayed in this trip, employees were not wearing masks and there was no partition. concerned that rooms were not properly cleaned as well. Best to avoid. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The property was well maintained & the rooms are very clean. Guest services was great & check in was very easy. Decent breakfast selection. Great place to stay while passing through to New Mexico or Texas. Perfect for road trips! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pet friendly

Jun 4th, 2020

We stayed a couple nights & had a great time. Pets stay free! Our room was very clean with mostly non carpet type floors- so no pet smell. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, & decent size bathroom. There was also plenty of counter space. Breakfast is included, but it is not as good as other free hotel breakfasts. The only hot food was oatmeal. But there were several cold food choices. My only suggestion is for the hotel to have an actual dog walking area with a garbage. There was no good, flat area to have the dogs go potty. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great ADA room

May 14th, 2020

Stayed here while traveling from Los Angeles to Texas with my brother, who is temporarily in a wheelchair. The ADA room we had was 2 beds and came with a great roll in shower with bath bench. Two options for the shower head. Very accommodating. Breakfast was good. But my brother wouldn’t eat it because it was serve yourself buffet style and he was afraid of being contaminated. They do not have a facemask policy, though most guests were wearing masks. Clean, comfy room at a heck of a price. Good coffee. Very pleased. My only criticism is the bump at the door threshold...it was hard getting over the hump with a wheelchair. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
