Dirty hotel, mismamaged during COVID

Not only was my stay here abysmal due to the filthy rooms that are covered in mold amd smelly, but the hotel had a bar area that was completely packed with no restrictions in place given COVID. I have status with Hilton and have never been this disgusted by a stay. When I spoke with staff they weren’t helpful and slightly rude. The Assistant GM and GM need to reevaluated by corporate. All they said in response was something about a potential renovation taking place one day amd offered no resolve. We ended up checking out and going to a Best Western that was fairly close and had a delightful stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stay at 150 hotels a year, noisiest hotel room I’ve had in years. I could hear normal conversations through the walls and people moving in the room above like they were auditioning for the play “Stomp.” Multiple calls to the front desk didn’t help. Woken up early both mornings by the noise. As a Hilton Diamond member, Garden Inns are usually one of my go to hotels, not this one. In addition, the hotel is using Covid as an excuse for not offering their usual breakfast. Across the parking lot is a restaurant open with indoor seating. No reason they couldn’t do the same, just trying to save a buck TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Rooms are a little beat up. Half the TV channels are not in HD. It’s 2020 and no ESPN HD. Unacceptable. Restaurant closed but I can’t get an extra free bottle of water. Most HGI’s are at least giving a couple waters a day to diamond members. Workers are very nice. Most Hampton inn’s are in better shape. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I started with my family back in 2010 and had a terrible experience. The manager at the time apologized that we had a “bad experience” but offered no other compensation except to say they would be making renovations. 10 years later we gave this location a second chance. No changes. Mattresses were bad, AC was ineffective and gave off an odor so steering it was making us sick. As we checked out the lady at the front desk offered no excuse, “I’m so sorry” or compensation. Wouldn’t even assist with a new reservation! I emailed the hotel and received a less that satisfactory answer from the assistant general manager. Typical for this location. Many other options in Beaufort. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It was in a good location. Shower needed to be cleaned. Mold on tile. I thought maybe it was stained. But no I could remove with my finger. Pool has limits to how many can be out at a time. I had to wait for a family to leave. Then they locked it up promptly at 8pm. When there are few other things to do this was disappointing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
