Booked two adjoining rooms on first floor for my sons wedding. Called prior to ensure adjoining and first floor. Got here and no rooms and wanted to put us 18 rooms apart. Jane lies to us as told my husband saw our request. When I went in she said to me maybe we called wrong hotel to request. Not helpful at all resolving g and downright rude and sarcastic. I will be escalating this via Hilton and all travel sites. To book, call to confirm , not get what we paid for and treated this way - on my sons wedding day. Do Not Book here. Jane was beyond inappropriate TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not COVID safe!

Hilton Garden Inn used to be our go-to hotel. On our last visit, the assistant manager at the front desk was not wearing a mask, and when I asked her to, refused to put one on. The housekeepers had masks pulled down while they were cleaning rooms. Calling corporate made no difference. WTF Hilton, are you trying to kill us?! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hotel manager and cleaning staff do not wear masks during COVID19

Hilton Garden Inn is usually our go-to-hotel. However, over a three night stay, while taking our son to school, we were shocked to find the front desk and cleaning staff not wearing their masks or wearing them inappropriately. It is an airborne virus and one was management of the hotel! Anxiety was given as the excuse. Sorry. not good enough at a hotel during the pandemic of an airborne virus that lingers in the air for hours. WEAR. THE. MASK. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We are travelling; in the past weeks we stayed at two Hilton Garden Inns - the first in Watertown, NY and the second in Harrisburg, PA and were expecting a similar experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Rd., in Charlottesville. Impressive drive up to the property via the "crossover", but the "impressive" ended there. Our room did not come close to the other HGInn experiences; a little "dated". The rug seems to have a slight smoke odor even though the signage in the hallways indicates this is a smoke free floor; the air conditioning unit was louder coming on and off, but not too bad. The bedding was adequate but the pillows and beds did not nearly match our other experiences, which I would consider upscale/excellent. The shower was hot but the bathroom was a little "dated", as was the wallpaper in the room, the carpet, the beds,, the chair - entire room seemed "dated" and in need of updating. We requested a nice view if possible, and the front desk clerk gave us a room w/ a very nice view of the pond. There was a thunder storm and we lost TV for awhile, but it came back on after the storm passed. We typically stay at a Marriott or Hilton for a reason; in my opinion this stay did not meet my expectations of Hilton standards in any regard, including professionalism of the front desk; felt more like a lower grade hotel stay. Excellent Excellent Staff

We were recently there staying overnight traveling with our entire family of at-least 30 or more people. We could not have asked for a better service. Dawn was there at check-in and was awesome very informative about things at the hotel. Jamie was there the next morning when we all started to mingle around and she was simply wonderful as well. We did see Dawn again the next as well. The hotel was very clean as well as the rooms. All the housekeeping staff we encountered in the morning were very friendly as well. All staff were wearing their mask. The whole stay was just wonderful and a great breaking point for all of us traveling from Illinois to Nags Head. Thank you for your wonderful service!
