Screwed us over on parking!

I booked this hotel for Labor Day weekend trip for my wife and daughter on a Hilton 'Park and Stay' rate. When they arrived this evening after a 5 hour drive, the desk told them that parking was not included in the rate! My wife had to drive around downtown Chicago at 11pm trying to find parking! They did reduce the room rate to the non park and stay rate, but that doesn't really make the customer service any better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed 3 nights August 30 thru Sept 2. This was my first hotel since the onset of covid but I felt very comfortable during my stay. They had great safety measures in place and checkin/ out process was seamless. Although housekeeping is limited staff were very accommodating getting what we needed. The hotel is in an excellent location and the riverwalk is steps away. I used Spothero for parking and used the garage at 60 E. Lake. The beds were also super comfortable. Overall excellent stay!! Great located value hotel

Hi we stayed here one night while passing thru Chicago. I thought this hotel was in a great location based on things we wanted to see in our day trip. We were steps away from Millenium Park and the River Walk, short distance to Buckingham Fountain and the Navy Pier, it also was close to a lot of the restaurant options we were discussing. Due to Covid there was limited amenities. The restaurant was closed and the breakfast was just grab and go. The hotel seemed new and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm a HH member and was granted early check in at 1:30. This was a blessing as we have a baby and it was nice to get into Chicago and go to our room and feed him his bottle there. There is no parking thru the hotel but a lot of garages close. There is also nowhere to park your car to unload anything in front of the hotel either. We parked in the E lake garage one block down and paid $25 to reserve a spot for 24 hours with in and out capabilities. We actually could see the garage/our car from our hotel window! If you want a high floor or a river view those are upgrades for a higher price. The hallways and room seemed tight compared to other hotels, but the building is small and in downtown so expected. My biggest complaint is that the outer drapes didn't close. So all you had covering most of the window is a thin almost sheet white curtain. We stayed on the 18th floor and our room faced Morton's stead house that has a huge lit white sign that was right across from our window. So our room was pretty lit up even with all the lights off. Bring an eye mask cover if you like your room dark to sleep! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Did not disappoint! Wonderful as always! Clean rooms, great staff. Construct was annoying but at least it’s being maintained. Right next to the red line, No problems at all. This is my go too Chicago hotel! Can’t wait to visit again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I was attending a conference at the Hyatt. I saved over $300 for 4 nights by staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a short but cold walk to the Hyatt that week but a colleague told me about the underground walkway entrance a half block away. That took me all the way to the Hyatt with less than a minute out in the 25F wind. I used the savings on some great food! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
