Very Poor Communication

Dec 24th, 2020

My husband and I drove 50 miles to speak in person to the Front Desk to make our Christmas Eve reservation. We were told at the time that a full dinner menu was available Christmas Eve, along with a full bar. When we asked for a complimentary upgrade, since we are Gold members, we were told the occupancy was very low for that night and we would just have to ask for the upgrade when we arrived, We checked into the hotel at about 4:25 pm and we’re told there would be no dinner, the bar is closed, and the upgrade rooms were taken by people who called the hotel and requested them. We are not the only people very upset with this lack of accurate information. My husband ran into several who expressed their frustration to the Front Desk. We’ll probably stay elsewhere next time, but if you choose to say here, be prepared for unfortunate surprises!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good for short stay

The staff were nice and helpful. The cleanliness was decent. The Fitness Center was a bit small, but it was ok--luckily no one else came in to workout while I was there. They only serve breakfast for purchase. They had some coffee service in the morning, but was gone by the time we went down (maybe a few minutes after 9:00?). Convenient to downtown Columbia. Nice hotel, convenient off the freeway

Oct 18th, 2020

Stayed here while in town for a family event. The hotel is conveniently located off the main highway and there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity, some within walking distance others less than a mile drive. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 rating was the fact that housekeeping was delayed in preparing rooms so they were available for check in (apparently they were waiting on linens) and the front desk was only staffed with one person during peak check in time (a second person ultimately arrived shortly after 3pm but not before the line was almost all the way to the door outside). The rooms are clean and spacious, and the best part is that they are well insulated so you don't hear noise from the room next door, nor do you hear doors shutting or other common noises in many hotels. The rooms have small refridgerators and microwave, as well as kureig single serve coffee pots. They appeared to do a good job cleaning and sanitizing the rooms. I would likely stay here again when in town, hoping the delays in rooms being serviced was a short-term issue. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly place with great staff

Staying at this hotel was amazing! The rooms are nice and the place is very comforting. The staff are all rockstars making me and every guest feel like family. Tim and margret both have made the experience that much better by going out of their way to to make sure that my dining experience was excellent. They have amazingly talented cooks. I have not found a nicer and more friendly hotel to stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
