Don’t even think about visiting the pool.
Jul 20th, 2020
We stayed here for only one night (thankfully) while visiting Columbus for my son’s birthday. We wanted a hotel with a pool and the fact that it was literally right beside the airport was a plus for our two young boys. They loved watching the planes out the window! We decided to go to the pool because that’s what they had ultimately been waiting for the entire evening. Their little hearts were crushed when we told them we weren’t getting in because of how disgusting the water and pool area was. There were old towels and trash lying everywhere, scum on the floor and walls of the pool and tons of hair and debris of unknown origin floating in the water. We asked an employee to please come and look and asked if the pumps were working. He acted like we were idiots and that the pumps indeed were working and nothing was wrong with the pool. The boys were so disappointed, as were we. We will not be staying here during our next trip to Columbus. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Needs to replace the mattresses and pillows but good location and shuttle service
Mar 12th, 2020
Hotel rooms need to be updated with mattresses and pillows but the location is perfect on where I needed to be. Be sure to stay on the side of the hotel away from the runway of the airport. The shuttle service was what made this trip. they take you anywhere within 5 miles. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very Conveniently located Airport Hotel

I had never stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn, so I booked online for a room at the end of the second leg of my flight out of Europe. I was happy that I could find a hotel that appeared to be close to the airport so I could rest before driving on into southern Ohio. It was very close, and infact once I picked up my rental car, the hotel was only about a 100 yards down the street. This hotel is, in fact, an Airport Hotel, and if you are looking for fancier surroundings and proximity to businesses and eating establishments, you should book into another HIlton downtown. Otherwise, unless you fancy eating at a McDonald's, you will need to drive out of the airport to find other locations. The hotel room I had was quite nice, average size, and for me a rather typical American hotel room, equipped with everything I anticipated finding. The bed was solid, and comfortable, clean, as was the bathroom. The shower was in the bath tub, so if you have problems entering a tub, expect that barrier. Since the hotel is only a few meters from one of the runways, and on the main road exiting the airport and car rental locations, it is not particularly quiet outside, so you probably will have to sleep with the windows closed. The lobby and eating area, Great American Grill, bar, and check-in desk, share a bright area inside the front entrance. The offering for an evening meal is good, and the service was plesant. Breakfast was very nice, and my egg order came perfect as I wanted. I stayed at this hotel 2 times within a 3 week period, coming to the US and returning to Europe, and both times my experience was equally good. I recommend it for an overnight when traveling in and out of the Columbus Airport. Parking was free, and mostly on the side or behind the hotel. Take note the advertised room price does not include taxes, like here, and a room tax and state tax were on the invoice, as was a charge for a bottle of in-room water, which I did not use. The hotel was ok, a bit pricey and they charged me for items that we never even used. We had brought our own snacks and water but I was charged for in room items that were not touched by us at all. Also, parking is awful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not my first choice

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I knew ahead of time that it was near an airport but I did not realize that it was literally right next-door to the airport. I barely got any sleep while I was there because airplanes were taking off until almost 1 o’clock in the morning and they resumed around four in the morning. I could smell jet fuel fumes in my room which gave me a headache. Additionally, the mattress that was on my bed was not good at all. I had quite the back ache after sleeping on this bed. The room itself was nice and it was clean. However, had I known that I would be hearing airplanes taking off all night I probably would have stayed elsewhere so that I could have gotten some sleep.
