Felt safe during the pandemic

This was our first stay at a hotel post pandemic, and I was relieved to find that we felt safe. The restaurant is closed and housekeeping is by request only at this time. Otherwise this was a pretty standard hilton garden inn. The location is quiet and the front desk staff all friendly. It would have been nice if the "grab and go" breakfast had a bit more variety, but other than that a convenient stay for our purposes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Poor for the price

We (my wife, our dog, and I) are moving halfway across the country and have been staying in different hotels for the past 4 nights. While our other hotels had a $15 pet fee, the Hilton garden inn had a $50 pet fee. We have a well behaved, potty trained, dog who doesn't make messes. $50 is far more than is a reasonable fee. Also we tried taking a shower in the morning and the water wouldn't heat up. We tried for several minutes before giving up and deciding to shower at our next hotel. The light sconces in the bathroom were Rusty and, dusty, and cobwebbed. For the cost of this hotel, I expect a lot better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointing stay. Not up to Hilton standards.

When we made the reservation, there was nothing about renovating. The day before we arrived, the website stated "pardon our dust as we make renovations". It was too late to cancel & go elsewhere. We arrived to find the lobby/main entrance closed & entered through a side door to check in. We were told the restaurant was closed. Breakfast would be served in the meeting room. We took our things to our room & left for the evening. On returning, a sheet of paper was under our door - breakfast would not be served in the meeting room. We were offered room service. When breakfast arrived, our meals were in styrofoam boxes with plastic silverware, & paper cups. We were told all the dishes were being used for a group downstairs. There was no cream, sugar, syrup , butter, or jam. The water for tea was only lukewarm and the food was cold. We almost always stay at hotels in the Hilton brand because we can expect excellent accommodations & a cooked to order breakfast. This stay failed miserably. To be fair, we were given one of the newly renovated rooms. When we made a complaint about the breakfast, they offered to reimburse us if we went to a restaurant. It involved having to drive a fair distance to the closest restaurant & return to the hotel with the receipt, delaying our checkout & making us late for our events. We were given only $10.00 off the room price. I attempted to call the manager after returning home, but was only able to leave a voicemail & never received a call back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

avoid until remodeling complete

We selected this Hilton Garden Inn for a weeklong stay for a medical procedure. Though its location in a faceless business park area isn't particularly attractive, the hotel is situated midway between some excellent clinics and hospitals, and a short drive from the terrific Park Meadows Mall. Unfortunately, at no time during the booking process were we informed of a complete remodel that shoved the lobby to an inconvenient (in winter) side exit, and reduced or eliminated in-house services. Our assisted-accessible room was generously spacious (though why assisted bathrooms mean a tiny sink barely adequate for one person is anybody's guess), but little else proved satisfactory. Despite the in-room "Hilton Promise" of an enjoyable stay, nothing was done to mitigate the general inconvenience -- no offer of a free night, or a reduced rate, nothing. The saving grace of our stay was Kaitlyn at the front desk, who took a genuine interest in our concerns and worked overtime to satisfy our requests. Whatever she's being paid, it isn't enough. Family Stay

The location wasn't the best, it's in a Business Park area, but the service you will receive there, will DEFINITELY make up for it! Kaitlyn was AWESOME! Breakfast was excellent, as well! VERY happy with this choice. Stuck here during a snow storm , but didn't feel like I was "stuck" ANYWHERE... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
