Enjoy your stay

Jan 22nd, 2020

Whenever I am in the Ft Lauderdale area, and am in need of a place to stay, I always book this location. They have some of the finest team members you will encounter anywhere. The rooms/rates are great, and the location to the airport (8min) is wonderful. Really, one of the best properties in Dania Beach area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Worn property with poor service

Jan 20th, 2020

Disappointing stay overall. Things started off well, I was welcomed as a Diamond Honors member, and check-in was fast and efficient. I specifically mentioned to the check-in clerk that my preference for Hilton Garden Inn was set to breakfast, but because I was leaving early, for this stay only I wanted points in lieu of breakfast. He insisted this would be done automatically with nothing to update in the computer. This did not seem right to me, so I figured I would follow-up again in the morning. I then went up to my room, to discover everything was quite worn. The bathtub in particular was flaking in several spots (see included photo). I assume this was one of the better rooms available since I was welcomed as a Diamond member, so I hate to imagine how bad the rooms look for someone without any status. My stay was only for one night so it was fine, but definitely not up to Hilton Garden Inn standards. Finally, at check-out I asked the morning clerk again about points in lieu of breakfast as my Diamond benefit. The morning clerk was ADAMANT that if I did not get breakfast I would automatically get bonus points instead because they keep a list of who does and does not eat breakfast, and that there was nothing to update in the computer. Of course, points for my stay just posted and I did NOT get the bonus points in lieu of breakfast, forcing me to spend time to call in to get things corrected. To Hilton's credit, the phone rep awarded the missing points and apologized, but that is a positive reflection of Hilton corporate and not the Hilton Garden Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port. Bottom line: If a worn room and sub-par service is acceptable to you, then by all means stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great spot for a pre or post cruise night

Jan 17th, 2020

We picked this hotel due to it's location near the cruise port. We checked in Friday afternoon before leaving on a Saturday sailing. The surrounding area is undergoing some massive renovations, lots of new restaurants and shops opening now and in the near future. We'll be bookmarking this for all our cruise stays. Had a nice swim in pool in the afternoon. Great service at the breakfast. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pre-cruise one night stay

Jan 17th, 2020

Have typically stayed at other Hilton properties before cruising and chose this one primarily because it was the most reasonably priced for this trip. Arrived around 7 pm and we were on the hotel shuttle by 7:30. Our driver was efficient and pleasant. Had pre checked/selected a room on the Hilton app. We were warmly greeted at the front desk and in our room quickly. We found the room clean, reasonably furnished, decent wifi, and adequate for a one night stay. No complaints. Note the room utilizes a single serve Keurig coffee machine with about 4 K-cup pods. (We would have packed a few of our favorites had we known). The front desk generously comped us a couple extra pods to meet our needs - nice. Because we arrived after dark and weren’t familiar with the area opted to eat dinner at the in house restaurant which was adequate but expectedly a little pricey. We thought the eating area was a tad dated and could have used a little more attention to cleanliness. There is also a modest bar area. We were able to take a pleasant short walk to a First Watch the next morning for breakfast and would probably consider one of the nearby restaurant options in the future. We used the available cruise port shuttle service the next morning which we found to be efficient and reasonably priced ($10 per person). Would definitely consider for future cruises from Port Everglades. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrible room with roach

Jan 10th, 2020

Room was old, and bathroom had a roach. Do not stay here Not worth the money. Expected more being a Hilton honors member. Furniture was dated and did not match. Bathroom had a roach. Very disappointed TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
