Last minute replacement for vacation.

Aug 6th, 2020

We wound up at the Hilton after a disastrous beginning to our vacation at the nearby Sheraton. This was a major step us from where we were. The people were very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed the way they handled the pool during COVID; booking it by family/room. My only complaint was people booked and didn’t show; after 15 minutes left it be open to the next group on a first come basis. We were close to a mall and some good restaurants. I had no issues calling the front desk to arrange for room cleanings. I would have given the place a full a 5 stars but for an isolated incident with some hotel staff entering our room when not invited in. I understood the reasons but still find it unacceptable for staff to enter the room uninvited, Waco with no illicit activity going on. That said the Manager handled the situation fantastically and I would not hesitate booking another visit to this hotel..... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I’m a fan BUT

Aug 2nd, 2020

We always stay at Hilton properties but I was disappointed with this property. Outside seemed a little rundown. We checked in yesterday and asked where to eat and was sent to a off site restaurant. Came in and they were serving food for dinner? Then we were told to call for our breakfast and we could eat outside great! This morning no breakfast no explanation, but we could buy a bag of something, cold I assume for $6.00. Saving grace was the Tomato Cafe across the street for a great breakfast but Hilton owes us $20. Beware travelers TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place with an excellent staff

Aug 1st, 2020

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our way to Pittsburgh and this was a great stopover. Q and Cheryl were excellent. They were both friendly and helpful and have great attitudes. We got a great room at a nice price. The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room was clean and comfortable. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. And the hotel is in close proximity to the PA Turnpike, I-83, US Route 322, and Route 283. We would definitely stay here again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A safe haven during pandemic

Jun 30th, 2020

We stayed in this hotel on a long road trip during the Covid 19 pandemic. I really appreciate the procedures that Hilton has put in place to ensure a safe stay. Our room was marked with signage to indicate the high-touch places that are sanitized, we used the super convenient digital key that replaces check-in, breakfast was available in individual take-out bags. We stayed in a suite featuring a kitchenette, so we could prepare our own meals without the anxiety of going out in public. The hotel was not crowded, and the outdoor spaces were most welcome. I am grateful that Hilton has taken serious measures to ensure safe long road trip. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Typical Hilton Garden Inn with welcoming staff and well located for visiting Wheatland, Hershey or other area sites

Feb 28th, 2020

Solid Hilton Garden Inn property with a pool and small fitness center. Breakfast includes cooked to order omelettes and is included free of charge for Hilton Gold and Diamond members. Shower water pressure was adequate, small room frig with tiny freezer compartment was perfect for our travel beverages and two ice packs, while bed, pillows and linen were quite nice for a room in this low to mid-tier price point (around $100 with travel club rate), Hotel was a convenient launching point for a full day of exploration. Fueled up at Costco a few miles away, and made our way over to both Wheatland house (recommend a morning tour) and the Hershey experience (we arrived, checked in, did a chocolate tasting, did our pre-booked “lab” at 3:30p and still had time before and after all those activities to tour the numerous interactive exhibits and browse the Hershey gift shop, too!). Thanks to the HGI staff for their general. pleasantness and routing help to avoid the $$ toll roads on our way back to Ohio. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
