Glacier Park stay

We stayed at The Garden Inn because of its good brand reputation as part of Hilton properties. Breakfast onsite was convenient and there were a number of choices available. Room accomodations were clean and comfortable. All employees were friendly and helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hilton Garden Inn Kalispell - Great Stay!

This is a nice hotel. The staff is friendly, the restaurant next door is wonderful and a good value, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and haven't had a bad experience. It's also a good value for the quality of the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not up to par

Myself and two friends were in the area for a girls weekend. We had a reservation for a double queen room. I’m a Hilton honors member and have always been happy with my stay at any property. But this time was different. We arrived late and checked in to find they had no double queen rooms left but just single kings. So we had to ask for a rollaway. When I checked in, one of the staff was slurring her words to the point that I almost couldn’t understand them. That was not impressive. Then when we got in our room, shortly after someone aggressively knocked on our door. So we called downstairs and asked if it was staff and they couldn’t say. This was the first time in a long time I didn’t feel safe in a hotel. Then we realized we had walked in a back door after parking and everything was wide open - no key card needed. I will definitely consider other hotels first next time. Not at all what I expect from a Hilton property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This property nasty. Black ring on the toilet lip. Even after I contacted housekeeping, still dirty. Tiles in shower moldy, needed vacuumed in the room. Beds wrinkled and sloppy. Common area rugs stained and crumbs for all 3 days we stayed. The laundry room out of order and garbage on the floor, dirty towels. Room service horrible and wrinkled napkins. Not up to what I would expect from HGI. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unfortunate lack of training

Double and triple check when staying here. We had multiple errors from the front desk. I booked a room for the 4th of July and prepaid on the Hilton website for the best rates. After staying the night I noticed a credit card charge for the room of $363. We prepaid $236. I have since sent the receipts from my Hilton account to the manager at the hotel and I’m sure this charge will be removed. What caused much stress during our visit was the lack of training at the front desk. I booked a room online for an additional night on the 5th as we wanted to add a rafting trip. We were In town visiting family and always stay here. I knew we would possibly need to move to another room for the later booked night but open arrival I asked the girl at the desk and she said we could stay in the same room but would need to bring the keys down in the morning to check in and out. No problem, I’ve had to do that before. Next morning I was informed that we would need to move after all so I asked if we could stay on the same floor. Sure she said and gave us keys to the new room. We gathered our things and headed over the the new room which was still occupied. We had a rafting trip planned and had to be on our way soon. The housekeeper nearby radioed the front desk and was told we could move back into the original room. Back we go. When I went to get new keys I was told no, that was an error, we’re moving you to another floor. I asked if this room had a sofa bed for my 16 year old son as the previous room had. No, but they’d bring a rollaway bed. Fine, at this point we just wanted a room and to get on our way. I knew we’d be back late to the hotel so wanted to get the rollaway before we left. My husband called down to ask for it to be brought up. We waited for about 20 mins then had to go. That evening we returned around 10:30 and....no rollaway for my son. I called and couldn’t get an answer so went down and was informed that due to fire laws that room does not fit a rollaway bed. The booking I made online was for 2 adults and a kid. Why were we put in a room with only a King bed and no allowance for a rollaway? This was the breaking point. My husband informed her that we would be leaving. We live 4 hours away and drove from 11:30 to 3:30 at night luckily avoiding 2 deer near the road. Not ideal. Be careful when booking here to triple check all details with staff.
