Great Stay

Excellent hotel and hotel staff. Very accommodating, great location, rooms and lobby are clean, food is excellent! The hotel had a great feel too it. The moment you walk in, you get a feel like your in the mill district of Manchester. Polished wood floors, large wooden beams, helps bring the history of Manchester to the hotel. Pleasant Stay Near Downtown Manchester

Jul 15th, 2019

It's a nice looking hotel, standing immediately adjacent to the minor league baseball stadium. Many of the rooms have great views of the nicely manicured field. I've been to NFL games where I've had worse seats. They even have a patio where you can get food and drinks that overlooks it. Ask at the desk or look online to see if there are events worth visiting while there. They had a food truck festival with games and music while we were there. The hotel has a tiny fitness room, a tiny indoor pool (more for playing than for doing laps), and an outdoor hot tub. The staff was friendly and helpful. As you'd expect from a Hilton Garden Inn, they offer a breakfast buffet ($12.95pp unless you have status or included in room rate), and they have a sizable bar/lounge area where the business travelers often congregated prior to dinner. While they seem to have a decent menu, with dishes ranging from bar fare through steak. They are not open for lunch. The hotel is a 6 minute walk from the Market Basket grocery store. Google Maps provides a 10 minute route to get there but you can short-circuit it by following a pedestrian path the locals use. The southern edge of the downtown core area is about a 10 minute walk away. Although small, you can find lots of restaurants and the occasional festival, but isn't worth much more than a quick 30 minute walk-through. Most of the streets require you pay to park at 75 cents/hour. Alternatively, the hotel provides free shuttle service, but not during lunch to anywhere in a 5 mile radius. For a nice meal, check out The Foundry which is about an 8 minute walk away. Adjacent to the hotel and stadium is a paved tree-lined paved pathway running south along the river. This makes for a great spot to do jogs or walks. Few people seem to use it. Only complaint was that housekeeping skipped our room twice. They were happy to address this when I mentioned it, but I thought it odd that we fell off their list and remained off even after we complained the first time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stay for location

If your here for game =good. Dont eat here. The food is poor- both dinner and breakfast. Dinner is pub food at its worst. We have better breakfast free at another chain hotel. There is no room service. Only "delivery to the room" at night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Close enough to enjoy the beach

Jul 12th, 2019

This is a great property to stay in if you are a baseball fan as well a lover of the beach. In 40 minutes you can be on the sand and after a long day return to relative quiet. If you are so inclined, enjoy a baseball game or explore the city of Manchester, which has great shopping. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
