Good one night stay
Sep 25th, 2020
Stayed here for one full day and night on business. Good location that’s close to the airport but an easy walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants. They also have bikes available to rent. Nicely updated resort complex with big rooms and plenty of nice outdoor space including a pool and fitness room. Friendly staff. Restaurant was closed due to COVID. I’d stay here again to be near LAX without the noise of the airport. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Just OK. Not Worth the Money

We stayed here overnight on a road trip. The plan was to hang out at the beach for the day before heading up north, but our schedule didn’t allow for it. It didn’t appear to be a convenient location for walking to the beach and did not seem to be in a walkable area in general from what I could tell (but take that with a grain of salt cause I wasn’t there long). We were upgraded to a bungalow room, which was cute and had a nice beach house vibe to it from the outside. It had a vaulted ceiling inside that made it feel bigger than it was, and only shared a wall with one room. I can’t see any major benefit to booking a bungalow room over the regular ones though. There was a washer and dryer on site nearby the bungalow and it was free to use. They had machines with detergent for sale but I didn’t catch how much it cost because I had my own detergent pods. There were more downsides to this hotel than benefits. Our room had a dirty musty smell that would have had me requesting a new room if we were there for more than a day. It also lacks table and counter space. There’s nowhere to use a laptop, and there are no USB ports for cell phone charging. There’s very little floor space for luggage. There’s no counter space in the bathroom, and nowhere to hang extra towels, wet clothes, or toiletries bags (the people in the room next to us were using the porch lights to hang their swimsuits outside). And, they charge $20 a night to park. I stayed in a hotel on the Vegas strip the night before, and a hotel in Palo Alto after this one (both traditionally expensive places to stay), and this hotel was the most expensive by 3 times as much money and was the least convenient of all of them. Overall, it was a unique hotel room, but if I were booking in the area again, I’d pick a less expensive one a little further away since I drove to what I needed anyway and it wasn't a nice room. Or I’d stay in the Ritz around the corner. Coronavirus wise, they did a good job of cleaning the surfaces (nightstands, tv table). The tv remote was sealed in a plastic bag (I assume it’s replaced after each guest but who knows). Rooms are sealed with tape to show they’ve been cleaned (though there was no tape on our door, it was ripped off and on the ground in front of the door. Someone else probably checked into the room before us and asked to be moved because of the smell). There’s hand sanitizer at the front desk for check in, and signs saying masks are required to be worn. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Customer services great, no turned down services. It was okay as long as you don't expect luxury hotel accommodation. Direct TV services is different, no upgrades for technology 'usb ports etc'. Easy parking underground. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

wee had 5 nights stay in this location. Our room was not in the main building, but in the outdoor area (we had some difficulties in finding our way at check in). The room was large and quite. the location is a good compromise to avoid downtotn. the beach is within 10 minutes walk. Restaurants are nearby. Swimming pool is available, but not tried. Breakfast was good for us (continental). Staff is friendly TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
"Easy In Easy Out"

I like this property and I like the location. You drive up to the front door get out your vehicle and walk a few feet to the front desk. (No reservation no entry) Antonio and his crew will quickly check you in. Walk back to your vehicle drive down to underground parking and pick a spot for your vehicle. If you decided to bring your bike there is a good spot to lock it up underground. If you didn’t bring your bike and you want to ride, you can rent one at the front desk. How cool is that. I drove over from Phoenix searching for cooler temperatures and I was not disappointed. It was nearly 40 degrees cooler than the 116 degrees I left behind. I was assigned a standard room which was nice. No problems. I was hoping to get one of the really nice rooms in the detached building next to the pool area. No luck, I should have upgraded with Hilton Honors points. Signs are posted every place regarding best practices for a clean and safe environment. The restaurant was closed but the hotel has a long list of places that will deliver. It was a good stay no issues to report. Most of all, I did sleep well, and I found a new spot to stay on my next bike riding adventure in this area. I am providing a few photos to accompany this review. Peace and Blessings!
